I love this place! I’ve never had a bad experience. There’s a huge variety and the food is always good. The waitresses and the guy at the front are all nice and very quick with getting drinks and taking plates off the table. Also, the hibachi is amazing! I honesty don’t understand the bad reviews on this place, it’s excellent!

Me and my buddy we’re on the way back from a doctors appointment in Pittsburgh we live in Ford city so we hit Natrona Heights at 11:20 so I talked him into going here I have been at their butler restaurant but however at 11:20 the food seemed like it was hours old and dried out very disappointing so now TJ’s at the Mills is my place.

Good variety of foods, including the usual General Tso’s and various other slimy chicken dishes. Have a pretty good selection of more American options, such as chicken nuggets and french fries. The food was pretty much average; standard buffet quality food. The buffet is stocked fairly quickly, and tables are cleaned off as soon as they are vacated. Very clean. Service is alright. They are pretty quick with clearing plates and refilling drinks. Prices are pretty comparable to every other Chinese buffet in the area(China Lobster, Top China). For 2 people, our bill came to about $ 32. My issue with this restaurant is the horrible stomach ache that my fiancé and I both got about half an hour after eating here. I’m assuming that it came from the«House Special», as it was the only thing that our plates had in common. That food was some sort of elongated eggroll stuffed with a mystery pink seafood. Certainly NOT a case of food poisoning, but something in that food wasn’t quite right. You could say that that part of the meal was… fishy.(Ha. Get it? Because it was a seafood dish) Lesson learned on our part; Don’t eat a special when you have literally no idea what is in it. I’d honestly try this place one more time. Hopefully our less than pleasant reaction to the house special was a fluke. Without the nasty stomach aches, I probably would have given Fortune Star a 3 star rating as a perfectly acceptable option for Chinese food.

WORST meal ever!!! Won’t even try to describe the mystery meat that this place is trying to pass off as chicken or beef. I will say in one scoop of steamed rice we had FOURDEADNATS!!!

I give this place four stars as compared to other Chinese Buffets. I was pleased. It is very clean, food was hot and fresh. Very wide selection. Friendly and good service. Food was decent not gourmet. Reasonably priced. I would come back.

Unfortunately this restaurant is another case of quantity over quality. It may also be the place where MSG came to die. While the sushi bar is relatively good with excellent seaweed salad and a wide selection of Maki sushi(except for the wasabi which is dried up and oxidized), everything else is so full of fat and sugar you can hardly swallow it. It’s best to go here when you’re really hungry because there are a lot of choices. However, the majority of what is served here is extremely unhealthy. As for taste, other than the sushi bar nothing seemed all that outstanding. The miso soup might be a little more diluted than it should be, but it does contain excellent quality tofu. The wonton soup is ok, but really salty. I tried the kimchi — just average. The stuffed shrimp seem really unAsian, but they tasted good. I love the white tuna and red tuna nigiri. Dessert was pretty unremarkable. Overall there were a lot of pluses and minuses.

Overall, food was pretty good. Huge selection and variety. The only thing that was really«excellent» or worth returning for was the seafood bake. Otherwise, everything was just okay. The place was nice looking and clean, food was all hot. Just not super flavorful.
