At Decadent Dog, Customer Service is our specialty.

Our first priority is making sure our canine and feline customers are safe, happy, healthy and loved. Our human clients also guide everything that we do. We keep things simple. No list of «Things We Won’t Do,» no contracts that force you to commit to a certain number of days and a professional, dependable and honest staff.

We love what we do and have great fun doing it, however, we take the responsibilities of the job very seriously.

History

Established in 2002.

After 14 years in corporate sales and business development, the time had finally come to follow my dream of working with animals; of doing what I love to do. I needed to feel like I was making a difference in the lives of others. I needed to run with the pack. I needed to roll around on the ground with all types of dogs and get big, wet, slobbery licks all over my face. So on a hot June day in 2002, I ditched my suits, put on my sneakers and began to search for doggies that needed walkies — Decadent Dog was born.

Decadent Dog was founded with one goal in mind: to provide the finest possible care to dogs. And cats. And the occasional horse, ferret, hamster, even a 300 LB. pig! (Please note that reptiles aren’t included on the list because I’m afraid of snakes.) Pet care is a client service business; it requires a deep level of trust and responsibility along with an unabashed sense of love and caring for all animals. At Decadent Dog, we never forget our commitment to these core values.

Business Owner

Rob Nager is a lifelong resident of Boston and the founder of Decadent Dog, a full service pet care company. He was named 2008 International Pet Sitter of the Year by Pet Sitters International and is the only Certified Master Instructor for Pet Tech Pet CPR & First Aid in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Rob is a nationally known lecturer and regular contributor to Pet Sitters World magazine. He has been featured in the Boston Globe and Boston Magazine; television credits include WCVB– TV’s Chronicle and regular guest appearances on The Secret Life of Animals on New England Cable News.

Rob was a leader in corporate sales for over 14 years. He was trained by old-​school merchants who instilled in him the importance of customer service. Rob decided to walk away from his successful career to pursue his dream of working with animals. Founded in 2002, Decadent Dog is considered a leader in pet care services within the local market.
