Welcome. Here is information about my work. Clinical Experience: I have practiced 30 years, run a counseling center, supervised, written and taught. Educational Breadth: With degrees in psychology, philosophy and theology, I approach issues from several perspectives, and find more wisdom in three disciplines than one. Patience: My practice motto is «Steadfast care for the problems of living.» Some clients resolve issues quickly, while some need more time. I am available as long as it takes. Life Experience: I have been married 40 years and am the parent of two young adults. Each client comes to me with unique issues, goals and strengths. My methods include careful listening, encouraging, giving direction, empathizing, challenging, providing insight, easing pain, and suggesting change. Some of my clients suffered as children or adolescents, having been emotionally, verbally, psychologically, physically or sexually harmed. I find such work particularly meaningful. I affirm gay lives.
