Excellent, effective and safe massage therapy for pain relief, muscle soreness, recovery from injury, sports performance, and for the common discomforts of pregnancy. I will work with you to design a massage session that gets results.

I have proven success with Sports Massage for Athletes, Clinical deep tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy and myofascial trigger point therapy for injury and pain relief. My advanced certifications include Neuromuscular Therapy, orthopedic and clinical massage, pregnancy massage as well as Swedish massage for relaxation. People who have pain from daily stress, those recovering from surgery as well as athletes seeking to maximize performance all have excellent results from my treatment.

Pregnancy massage and prenatal massage have been special features in my massage practice for my entire career. I have many hours of advanced training and certification and have taught my own professional workshops in pregnancy and prenatal massage.

History

Established in 2002.

Nancy Wilde has been dedicated to providing excellence in Massage Therapy to men, women and adolescents for over 25 years. She offers the highest level of training and skill in a variety of clinical and relaxation modalities.

Nancy is Nationally Certified in Massage and Bodywork and is certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, Zen Bodytherapy, deep tissue massage, and Infant Massage Instruction. Nancy has been in practice in massage therapy and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association since 1984.

A massage therapy educator and lecturer, she has taught at the Downeast School of Massage, MassBay Community College and is currently a Massachusetts Licensed Instructor for massage certification.

I saw Nancy for massage therapy a few times during my pregnancy and wish I had come to her sooner! She is extremely knowledgable about prenatal massage, and offers many comfortable props and pillows to allow for relaxation and relief from all the aches and pains pregnancy can bring. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is pregnant or a new mom for some much needed R&R.

Nancy is technically skilled. However, her scheduling/​confirmation process is flawed.
Nancy’s skills enable her to work out tight spots in the body. She has a pleasant personality. It’s fairly easy to talk with her.
On one occasion, Nancy sent me an email confirmation of a next-​day appointment. Then, when I showed up at the time in her email, she told me that she’d assumed my appointment was later, so she’d booked an extra-​long appointment that extended into my time slot by 20 – 25 minutes. She offered me two choices: 1) reschedule, which would have meant I’d wasted 40 minutes of car travel, plus arranging my day around the appointment; 2) wait until she completed her full appointment with the person whom she’d booked into my time slot despite her confirmation of my appointment less than 24 hours earlier. I wish she had cut short the mistakenly-​booked appointment. However, she did not offer that option. I felt that showed a lack of respect for my time. Nancy did offer a verbal apology and a $ 10 discount on that day’s massage.
This kind of scheduling mistake may be unusual for Nancy. I’d had several earlier appointments that proceeded without any problems.

I went in for a more extensive massage because the migraines have become more debilitating. I should have gone back in sooner. Nancy is the epitome of professional, and very much treats massage as a dialogue between client and massage therapist. She asks for feedback during the massage to help her know where to focus, is very sensitive and responsive to issues that might affect comfort with massage, and explains what she is doing as she proceeds (in ways that are clearly understandable). I plan to start going in on a regular basis, she is that wonderful. HIGHLY recommended.

I bounced from massage therapist to massage therapist and was thrilled when I found Nancy. She is caring, discreet, and 100% professional. She’ll happily modify the pressure to suit your needs. This, coupled with her deep knowledge of human anatomy (she has completed a cadaver workshop a couple of years ago!), makes her the best at what she does. I moved away from the Wellesley/​Needham area over 2 years ago to central CT, and I still make the 2 hour one-​way trip up to Needham once a month just to get a treatment from Nancy. She’s THAT good!!!
