Mrs. Moore uses her specialized training acquired in the following areas…

~Tutoring high school, college, and graduate students in English essay writing, grammar, dissertation revision, and study skills.

~Engaging students with technology (e.g. cloud computing, MS Word shortcuts, Web 2.0) to foster efficiency.

~ Improving students’ motivation and focus using Dr. Smilkstein’s Brain-​Based Natural Learning Process.

~Facilitating students’ understanding of their personal learning styles and of how to enhance comprehension, retention, and skills based on study techniques customized to their strengths. This emphasis is crucial for students with learning difficulties and ADHD who need to gain confidence and become empowered to succeed.

History

Established in 2013.

After over twenty years of combined experience as adjunct English Faculty for College of Southern Maryland, grant writer for non-​profits, Greenwell Foundation educator, and tutor in the Saint Mary’s County School System, Mrs. Moore moved from Maryland to the Jacksonville area to open a personalized tutoring service.

Business Owner

From years of experience as Adjunct Faculty at the College of Southern Maryland teaching Composition and Rhetoric as well as Developmental English, Mrs. Moore understands faculty expectations and learning differences. She has tutored students at the College of Southern Maryland and in the Saint Mary’s County school system. She has also worked with graduate students to hone their research and writing skills to match the expectations of their programs. Her focus is on creating personalized action plan to facilitate success.
