Tires Plus

Came here on a whim on a Sunday afternoon as I could see my tire was losing air, they filled it back up so I could do my grocery shopping and then I went back and left it over night. They called me at 8:30 am the next morning saying it was all set. The woman at the front desk was super nice and friendly and it only cost $ 30 to patch up my tire :)

I have had all 3 of my family cars serviced here. Great customer service. Very reasonable pricing. I trust what they say and do.

Bought 2 new tires here the other day after I called every other tire place and the dealership. They beat every other place on price for the same tire and gave me a military discount. Only thing was they had to order my tire and it took 1 day to get them in. Decent place, good price. If you have to wait there’s aqua east, publix, JoAnn, dollar tree and places to eat within a 5 minute walk.

I have been a customer of TP for 17 years. I took my 2011 Toyota Yaris for an oil change in Aug. 2014. I was advised I needed 2 air filters, a belt and should replace 2 tires. I declined and took it to the Toyota dealer. I did need the filters and should replace the tires but there was nothing wrong with the belt, a $ 100 repair. I was furious and returned to TP to confront the manager, Mitch Hyser. He, of course, apologized but it sounded hollow, as if recommending unnecessary repairs was part of the corporate culture. After speaking to others in the automotive repair business, this is common practice for TP, as their techs receive commission. Beware if you patronize this business.

Well, this was a nice little surprise, after a scary morning.
I had ran over something that sounded very scary in a recent trip to Atlanta, and kinda freaked out for the rest of the drive home. You know, you let the steering wheel go and see if it starts to pull before you get a flat?
We made it home safe, thankfully, so I thought all was well.
So fast forward to this morning, the only day I have to be up at a meeting at 8:30 am, and I get in the car… and the warning light comes on for both my right side tires. I might have had a mini panic attack on the Matthews Bridge (cause dang Jax, that bridge is scary!).
I did make it to my destination ok, and after the meeting, looked for the closest tire shop on Unilocal.
I saw the nice reviews and headed straight to Tires Plus, and noticed tire inspections and air pressure checks were free! I let them know what was up and within just a few minutes, a friendly guy told me I was good to go.
I wasn’t there long, and yay, didn’t have to get new tires, (no pushy sales folks) and was more than a bit relieved everything turned out ok. The mechanics got a little giggle when I cheered and clapped all happy-​like, and then I waved and was on my way.

They deliver as promise. Prices seem compatible to others but they have excellent customer service. I dealt with Billy and he took very good care of me.

This is actually a 4.5, but I don’t round down.
These guys have been great. Very helpful and speak in a language you can understand if you are not a mechanic. Prices were great. I had an estimate done elsewhere and they had no problem matching costs and coming in lower on some of it.
Also, they didn’t try to charge me for things I didn’t need, which is exactly what the last guys tried to do. I didn’t need new belts or spark plugs. They could have said, sure we’ll do that for you, but they checked my car, realized it didnt need the work done and were honest with me about it.
They also have a military discount. Always a big yahoo for that!
It took a little while for me to get my part and so that is the .5 off I would have given if I could have. I have also had work done at the Beach location, so my reviews will be nearly identical for both locations.
