IHOP

I know chain restaurants leave much to be desired for the most part. I have eaten at other IHOPs before but being down in Asbury Park and having to leave soon, my fiancé and I decided to grab food here. Would have been better to eat toast from the hotel.
Pancake, which is supposed to be their specialty, was not good at all. Tough on the outside/​lackluster. My fiancé ordered an omelet which is his staple order for breakfast. For a man that usually cleans his plate, almost the entire omelet was left.
Service was ok but nothing that could makeup for the unfortunate food.

I went to this IHop for a quick bite to eat because I needed a quick bite to eat before I headed home, I was with a group of 6, as well as, my 16 month old daughter.
I just wanted to state this is a chain restaurant establishment, and I know war to expect as soon as I walk in.
The waitress was very helpful and accommodating. The only real negative was that my mother’s omelet had a hair in it, but they replaced it and gave her a new omelet quickly, no problem. (accidents happen)
The service and food was as expected at any IHop.

Went on a Sunday. Good service. Food was good. Can’t go wrong with pancakes eggs bacon and home fries for a late Sunday dinner. We went around 7 and it was almost empty.

This place was cold, food was bad, waitress make us feel welcome. Did not enjoy this place. We were so in the mood for ihop so we decided it couldnt be that bad. I told my friend from now on we’re trusting Unilocal with reviews lol

This place sucks. Never had a good experience in there. STAY AWAY! They have changed managers a good 15 times.

Bad service. The place was empty and they sat us next to kitchen, just in place to listen to the manager screaming to the crew about something out of order. After serving our meal, no one approached us again to check how was it going. They started to pick up the plates without permission and brought us the tab without asking. Very bad experience. They need to step it up and let the word out. As everybody, they deserve a chance to correct their errors.

Many bad reviews about this IHOP. But went there today, it turns out they have new management. The 2 managers on duty were very nice and wanted to make sure everything was good. They even took my online coupon! The food and service was great. We will come back again.

Despite its horrible rating and reviews, I decided to try this IHOP out this past weekend. Boy, I should’ve listened to Unilocal!
We ordered «coke and sprite.» The waitress brought us Pepsi and Sierra Mist. Sure, they’re similar but that’s not what we ordered. And, she didn’t tell us before hand. The waitress could’ve easily said, «I’m sorry we don’t have coke or seven up but, we have Pepsi and Sierra would that be okay or can I get you something else?»
Then, we placed our orders. No appetizers or complicated preferences. We just said «4 of these and 1 of this.» When the waitress came back with lit food, she had placed only 3 orders of one of the entrees so we ended up having to share our food because it would’ve taken even longer to wait for her to place the new order. Plus, the food was okay at best.
There were only 2 set of utensils for a table of 5. The utensils that were on the table were filthy. That was another 10 minute wait to get utensils for the rest of us. See picture.
Finally, it took us about 15 minutes of trying to make eye contact with any of the servers to ask for our check because the waitress never came back to our table.
I understand if the restaurant was packed but there were only 3 tables occupied.
I would never go back again.

Don’t bother trying to use a coupon, the manager did not understand my free breakfast coupon and I was being looked at like I had tried to use food stamps. I contacted corporate that they harshed my mellow on my birthday and no one seemed surprised. I was told it was new management. It seems that they had already heard many complaints from this location.

we where very hesitant to go to this place because of the bad reviews but since it was the closest location i was there with my family on memorial day morning and the service was very good. Michael was our waiter and he was very friendly and attentive to anything we might need. i would definatly go back if i’m in the area.

I drove down the highway the other night because I wanted pancakes. I probably only eat them once or twice a year. When I arrived, at about 12:30 or so, the place was closed! When did an IHOP EVER close? No one goes to IHOP for good food, the only reason you go to IHOP is because you can get pancakes in the middle of the night!
I’ll never go back to another IHOP. Der Waffle House rules!!!

Woohoo! As good as it gets! IF YOUR DIED! Now that I got your attention… sorry my bad… let me tell you what I really feel. The next time I pass this particular IHOP, I will do exactly what the name tells me… «I HOP» to the next diner! I would prefer water torture over the waitress service here. The front desk was very professional and welcoming, after we were seated… things went down hill. Our waitress was cold, distant, non attentive, and blindly past us by… even Helen Keller would have been a great delight, For whatever reason, she simply came with our plates and «d …i…e…d…a …w…a…y.
The food was OK, but we had no water and the waitress never bothered to bring it nor some extra milk. The bill was not bad: we had a good chicken sandwich and fries and a pretty good salad for a total (with tax) of $ 21.09!!!
So, the food was good, and budget wise, But, the service was INCREDIBLY awful. But, I was not a sour loser, I did leave a tip. I paid the bill of $ 21.09 and then some. I left $ 21,10 cents! Our waitress is «a penny richer and a penny wise.»

It’s IHOP. I would say it’s one of the worst IHOPs I’ve been to but that would be redundant. If I had to rank all of the IHOPs I’ve ever been to in order, it would be a multi-​way tie for last. IHOP always seems like a good idea until you’re sitting in one.

We waited too long for a table, which there were plenty options available. The servers are slow, doesnt show enthusiasm, and looks like they do not care about the customers. I would avoid this place at all cost!

This was my first time here. It was definitely a slow day. There was possibly five other customers there when we arrived and the staff was just sitting on the side. I made eye contact when we walked in but it was about three minutes before anyone walked over to seat us. They weren’t busy with any other customers so I don’t know why they would ignore us. We ordered our meals and they were delicious. I only took a sip of the milk and asked the waitress to scratch it off my bill because it tasted like water. She was very kind about that.

Its ok. I go to this ihop when down this way but the ihops near me the servers and wait staff are friendly and are pretty quick. Here It is kind of slow going which is fine but our server didn’t seem not even a little happy. She did help us out. It just seemed like all the energy was sucked out of the staff here. Only three other tables were being served, I’d think they’d be happy to have some customers. Even the manager seemed kinda down.
The food was ok, like the other ihops I visit so no complaints there. A little more pep could go a long way though.

This is the second time I have been to IHOP… the first time was average, but this time I have to say was delicious… it’s under new management, and they know what they are doing… good job.

Been there a few times. Good food, great cuts of meat and the pancakes are fantastic. Kids friendly, great atmosphere. I definitely recommend it.

We were seated right away and that should have been our first sign things were not right. We waited and waited for a server to come by. Finally our server came over and was apologetic for the long wait. My husband ordered a create your own omelet with white cheddar and green onions and I had a belgian waffle. The coffee we ordered took forever and was served in a decaf carafe. I made it clear to the server «this is regular, correct?» He said it was but how can we be sure. The server came back to the table to tell my husband I am sorry but we have no white cheddar and no green onions.
Meanwhile, I am facing the door where guests come and wait to be seated. A woman came in with an elderly guest in a wheelchair and asked for a handicapped area to be seated. The manager, a female, told her it would be a few minutes. Some words were exchanged and not sure why there was an issue, but then the manager was so rude to the customer and told her to HAVE A NICE DAY and LEAVE GET OUT OF MY RESTAURANT. I personally find the manager inappropriate to tell that woman and her elderly family member to get out.
Still waiting on our breakfast…
Finally the breakfast comes, it did come fast so that was a plus. My belgian waffle was not «full» and had holes so to speak in it. Everything was good.
The restaurant was filled with kids and it was noisy in there.
We received the check quickly and were going to pay with debit but then the time it took the server to come back, we decided to just pay cash and get the heck outta there!
Avoid this IHOP location at all costs. The Brick location is MUCH friendlier and cleaner.
We happened to be traveling north and knew of this location which is why we stopped.

This place sucks!!! Waited NO JOKE 30 minutes… and NO ONE came near our table… i’ve seen roaches on the walls and tables… the staff is straight out of prison break… the tables are dirty… SUCKS THAT THE PANCAKES ARE SO DAMN AMAZING… was very disappointing to get up and leave. GO TO THE IHOP IN BRICK… TOMS RIVER… SH** IF THERE’S ONE IN GUAM… you’ll be served faster…
