ChaseHealth Rehab & Residential Care specializes in short-​term rehabilitation (Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies) for strengthening and regaining abilities following acute hospitalization. In our residences we strive to create vibrant, interactive homes full of life for those requiring in-​house skilled nursing care. In addition to excellent medical and nursing care, our dogs, cats, birds, indoor and outdoor gardens and neighborhood children help elders make the most of life every day.

History

Established in 1936.

ChaseHealth was originally created as a hospital which served the New Berlin, NY area until 1971, when it was recreated as a Nursing Home. The new building was erected on West Hill, just behind the former high school.

ChaseHealth is proud to be the original site of Dr. William Thomas’s Eden Alternative concept, now known at ChaseHealth as ‘Life Focus’. In the early 1990’s Thomas and the team at ChaseHealth (then Chase Memorial Nursing Home) developed what has become an international movement refreshing lives in nursing homes every day.

Today, ChaseHealth excels in post – acute rehab services as well as skilled nursing care for eighty people. It employees approximately 110 people, including RN’s, LPN’s CNA’s, and licensed therapists.

Manager

Jeff Emhof is Adminstrator/​CEO of ChaseHealth Rehab & Residential Care, Chase Memorial Community Center, and Chase Housing Corp. He has more than 25 years’ experience in elder care and carries a passion for promoting person-​directed care. He and his family live in Edmeston, NY.
