History

Established in 1974.

The idea for Fantastic Sams came in June, 1974 when a barber named Sam Ross gave a little boy a unique shag cut. His mother liked it so much that she asked Sam to give her the same look. After her hair was styled, she looked in the mirror and blurted out, «That’s fantastic, Sam!» Sam liked the sound of that. A short time later, he bought the salon from the owner for $ 10,000 and started the Fantastic Sams concept — a concept that met an entire family’s hair care needs all under one roof; a concept where everyone could enjoy quality, professional hair care services and products and never need an appointment; a concept that includes all the services of a high-​end salon– cuts, perms, and color — but for an affordable price

Michelle is a stylist with 20+ years of experience. She currently owns/​operates a salon in Whitefish Bay for 18 years. Opening Fantastic Sams in New Berlin was another exciting step in her career.
