Specialties
Blue Envelope Interior Designs, located near the east coast of NC, in the historic town of New Bern, NC 28 562, offers in-home and on-line interior design services to local and remote clients. I am Margaret Volney, Senior Interior Designer and I have the amazing job of specializing in making my clients’ dreams come true through designing personalized design solutions.
Through my design expertise, technology and a little bit of imagination, I create magical interior design solutions and experiences for each and every one of my clients. I present presentation boards to my clients, as visual aids, that serve to fully inform and highlight the details included in the proposed designs.
Depending on each individual project, the boards may include 3-D Perspective Rendered Drawings, floor plan views, as well as virtual tours through their future space, illustrating proposed fabrics, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, faucets, fixtures, hardware, finishes, lighting, furnishings, draperies, artwork and accessories. Through a little imagination, these boards assist my clients in actually being able to visualize themselves being in the proposed space.
My self-driven motivation to exceed my clients’ expectations and my informal approach to design seamlessly relieves stress and anxiety from my clients; resulting in successful, personalized designs, delivered to my clients, one blue envelope at a time.

Margaret’s Master of Arts degree from East Carolina University is her foundation in her professional career as a full-service interior designer and teacher at a local community college. As a Personal Design Coach, Margaret assist her DIY clients an
