Specialties
I am honored to be chosen and trusted by clients to help them in an array of areas of difficulty in life. Most of my background, training and experience is focused on helping people come into wholeness in the area of relationships with others, themselves, food/substances and with God.
I work from an integrative whole-person approach to treating children, adolescents and adults in individual, couples, and family therapy. I specialize in relationship issues, eating disorders and trauma recovery.
If desired, I also integrate a Christian and Biblical healing prayer model called HeartSync that is grounded in brain science, attachment theory, and neurobiology.
I also provide Life and Leadership Coaching services to individuals who want to pursue success and fulfillment in a focused area in their life.
History
Established in 2002.
I received my Masters in Family Psychology in Dec 1998. From there I worked in non-profit agencies and residential treatment facilities and received my licenses as a Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. I opened my private practice March 2002 as an independent practitioner of Lighthouse Center for Counseling, Consulting, and Assessment in Abilene, where I practiced until relocating to New Braunfels in 2014. I am also now a 7M Certified Professional Coach for those who want Life or Leadership Coaching services.
