Anyone out there with a Living Social Voucher for this place needs to call Living Social for a refund STAT. Roll Rage is out of business. Website being down was a huge sign since this is how Roll Rage books their ATV tours. Living Social received notification but didn’t proactively reach out… Oh well. Be patient when calling for LS. Long wait but worth it.

I too bought one of those lovely little Living Social vouchers. Same story. Website is down and no one is answering the phone. Me thinks this guy is either running a scam or got overwhelmed by all the business and ran away. No ATV for me. Sad face.

I bought one of their living social deals and just tried to book a reservation. Now their number is not working (not accepting incoming calls at the subscriber’s request), and their website is down. Voucher says the offer doesn’t end until 11÷30÷12. Losers.

Wow. I have a Living Social deal that I wanted to use. Have been trying for days to call in and make a reservation. The number no longer accepts incoming calls. The website does not work (domain doesn’t exist!). I think this guy is trying to get away with the money from the most recent round of deals. I will be getting my money back from Living Social. What a con artist.

I purchased a Groupon for an ATV tour with this company. The online reservation experience was effortless and the tour was a lot of fun.
The reason this review only gets 2 stars is because of the customer service. Aaron, the owner, was a royal jerk to me and my friend. I also heard him being nasty with the other two people in our tour.
Their process is for the riders to don the helmets prior to the riding instructions. My friend asked if she could wait to don her helmet until after the instructions because she was having a hard time hearing the instructions. It was our first time to ride and we wanted to listen carefully in order to ensure our safety. And it was very difficult to hear while sitting on the idling ATVs with helmets on.
Aaron said no to my friend’s request and insisted that she don her helmet immediately. He told her, «I’ve been doing this for a long time and this is the way we do things here.»
As mentioned, we did have a lot of fun on the tour. Our guide (I can’t remember her name… Kaley, maybe?) was nice and ensured that we had a safe and enjoyable ride.
But because of the owner’s rude behavior, we won’t be back.

I’m writing this under my wife’s Unilocal account; I don’t have one since I’d never felt the need to post a review before now.
Reading all of the positive reviews here, I either had an anomalous experience or everyone else has lower standards. I have never seen so much potential for fun go so thoroughly untapped. The second star is only because I saw that potential; I had a 1-​star experience. The tour was INCREDIBLY slow. The «adrenaline experience» and «upper body workout» promised in the advertising were nowhere to be found. We cruised at maybe 10% throttle the entire time, providing roughly the speed sensation of driving around in a parking garage. For a while I thought that this was just the pace for the «orientation» segment, but after 20 minutes I realized that the entire tour would be this way. There were 2 girls in front who were clearly uncomfortable going faster than a snail’s pace, and in fact I overheard one of them say afterward that she didn’t have a US driver’s license, only an expired Australian one (and that she hadn’t driven in two years). Roll Rage, despite requiring a license to participate, apparently let her on the tour with just her US ID card. Perhaps that license requirement should actually be enforced given how slow she was and how that affected everyone else.
As we left, the guide mentioned that it’s a lot more fun when everyone is at the same skill level — no kidding! But the only mechanism they suggest to ensure that is for customers to find 3 other people of a similar skill level on their own and sign up as a group. Roll Rage really needs to take responsibility for solving this issue on their end, maybe through a few minutes of skill evaluation upfront to create separate novice and skilled groups, or even having signups for certain time slots restricted to those who have already attended before and are therefore more likely to be able to keep a faster pace. That wouldn’t be foolproof, but I suspect it would help a lot. I drive my car at high performance driving schools on real racetracks around Texas, and at those events, participants are divided into four skill level groups based on past experience and evaluations during the day to prevent this exact problem and make sure everyone has a good time (I’m currently in the second group from the top). A system like Roll Rage’s which has no way to prevent more skilled participants’ enjoyment from being ruined by slow people is a broken system in my view.
As for the potential I saw though, an ATV is obviously somewhat different from my experience driving cars on racetracks, but once I adapted to the sensation, it was quickly apparent that a lot of the same dynamics applied for going fast, such as the importance of smooth inputs and proper management of throttle and weight transfer through turns and on hills. I even noticed that the ATVs were set up to allow some power oversteer for a little sliding through turns as well as some brake oversteer for quick corrections. I imagine driving an ATV without a beaten path or wanting to experiment with jumps (which aren’t allowed) would have meant a far steeper learning curve, but on the semi-​smooth course at Road Rage and staying on the ground, I felt comfortable enough to play around a bit in very short order. Unfortunately, the pace of the tour meant that I only got to experience the above sensations in rare 3-​second bursts.
Then while going over a hill, my ATV’s engine cut out, and since our orientation only consisted of being told where the throttle and brakes were (not the shifter, starter, or the proper sequence for starting it), it took some experimentation to get going again. By then, the tour had left me and the 2 people with me behind, and there were too many forks in the course for us to figure out where everyone had gone to catch up. So, as instructed, we stayed put until another guide came and found us, which took about 5 minutes (so over 10% of our tour was spent stopped). However, the pace we then took to catch up with the group was MUCH better, and if the entire session had run that way, I would have been completely satisfied. But that only lasted about 1 minute because the 2 people behind me couldn’t keep up the pace the new guide and I set, so THEY got lost and we had to go back for THEM! After we found them we had another fast session, but that only lasted 30 seconds because it was just to get back to the starting point since the session was over.
I used a LivingSocial deal for this and still didn’t feel that I got my money’s worth, but if I had paid full price I would have left downright angry. I may still come back if I can get 3 friends together who I’m confident will be able to handle a faster pace because I could tell that this could be SO much fun, but it just wasn’t happening. Clearly other people who have written reviews here had less of a skill discrepancy on their tours — or like I said, they may just have lower standards.

So much fun! I purchased a Living Social special with intention to use as a gift for my husband for Fathers Day. I have never ridden an ATV so if I can do it anyone can. My husband (who is experienced) thought it was a great course. The trail was great, lots of twisties and steep hills. Begins with a brief informative training course before starting in. Aaron, the owner, was great at keeping a good pace and making sure no one fell over or got too far behind. We had a great time. There is a peak for a nice photo-​op that you can take yourself as a memento. Wear jeans and close toed shoes otherwise prepare for a fun adventure. +highly recommended!

Had a Group of four on two Groupons and all of us had a blast! The trail/​track was awesome, it had jumps that you were not supposed to jump but couldn’t help but get a little air! Had tight turns and mud and long stretches to get your speed on! A few tips are you need to wear pants and closed toe shoes. But it was so worth the Groupon, I don’t think I would pay the full price but it was so fun!

OMG!!! So much fun! My boyfriend and I were taking a trip to Austin and saw Roll Rage on Groupon, we missed the Groupon but called up there to see if there were any other specials running and the owner Aaron gave us a great deal! We got out there and he was very nice and genuine, really cool guy. My boyfriend and I had so much fun out there on the trails, its an experience I will never forget! I plan on going to Roll Rage every time i visit Austin! definitely recommended. Awesome!!!

I purchased a Groupon for my husband and I to go ATV’ing here at Roll Rage. I was super excited as it was something that we frequently talked about doing. When I scheduled the appointment I told the guy that I had absolutely no experience riding an ATV and he said that it was fine cause they will instruct me on what to do and that I would have some time to practice prior to hitting the trails. When we showed up we signed the forms, geared up, and got on the ATV’s. We were given 2 minutes of instructions and taken on the practice trail however I was having difficulty steering and within 30 seconds of being on the ATV he told me that I could not go on the trail and that my husband would have to bring someone else with him to use the Groupon. After reading the above review about NO POWER STEERING, it would have been helpful if they would have told me that so that I understood why I was having a hard time steering the ATV. I have over 16 years driving experience and have a class M motorcycle license so it is not that I don’t know how to steer as was suggested by the instructor. I was insulted, embarrassed, and most of all disappointed in the lack of patience and instruction by the instructor. I will NEVER recommend this place to any of my friends and have already got the word out that I would go elsewhere. The price is great but this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business. I hope that they read this and increase their patience, demeanor, and instruction to future riders with no experience.

Found out about this place via Groupon and thought it would be fun for me and my guy to check out, seeing as it was his first visit to TX. It was so worth it. Great ATV guide. had some great stories. Good idea to let you practice first with figure8s to get you used to the monster, it has NO power steering so that takes some gettign used to. However, the positioning for riding, jumping etc. is similar to riding a horse as far where to distribute your body weight, so you’ll be comfortable if you have that experience. Had so much fun! Definitely recommend!

A great time! Whether you are experienced or a beginner you will have a blast out there. All the 4-​wheelers are automatic but pack plenty of «giddy up» if you want to utilize it. They give ya a little «training run» around the front of the property before taking you off into the more challenging terrain. This place is worth the drive up to New Braunfels!

In advance of heading to the San Antonio area for vacation I registered on Groupon and Living Social to hopefully find a few fun things to do. This was the BEST!!! My daughter (27) and I (50) went out and had a great time! I had never been on an ATV but felt totally safe and comfortable. Our guide, the owner of the business, was such fun and made sure we had a great time. He even took pics of us up on the hill and sent them to us after we left. We wish we were locals so we could go again. Don’t miss out on this and if you’re a local you should make it a regular occurrence!!!

This business just opened and already they have it together. On exit 195 on IH35 North and just past the Ski Ranch in New Braunfels.
This was a blast! I was a bit worried because I’d never been on a 4 wheeler but never fear… your guides are thoroughly knowledgeable of their equipment as well as the terrain and will take you through a course to get your familiar with maneuvering and keeping control of the ATV. The course had a great mix of hills (both easy and challenging) and flat land which made it an overall awesome experience.
As they continue to improve the course, it will make it only that much better. I look forward to going back often!
