T W’s Axle and Auto Repair

We recently had unexpected brake problems while traveling through New Braunfels. A guy at the local auto parts store referred us to TW’s. They dealt honestly with us and we got the repair done in a timely manner and for a very reasonable price. Danny (the manager) even drove us to our friends’ house to wait, since the repair would take a few hours. Highly recommend!

TW’s Auto Repair is amazing! I was getting ready to head to my home in South Padre Island when I discovered that I had very soft brakes. My car was packed with luggage and I needed to hit the road. I limped into TW’s just before noon and manager Danny Clakley gave me a ride back to my friend’s house. He later called to report that my brake lines were corroded and leaking. Nissan did not have them in stock, but his shop would fabricate them and have me on the road before closing time at 5:30 p.m. TW’s and Danny came through for me and the bill was only $ 126.64. Amazing!

I only went here because of the Unilocal reviews and it wasn’t a great experience. I had an estimate completed then scheduled a date for the work to be done (this was tricky since their hours are the same as my work schedule). I based my decision solely from Unilocal because every dealership/​mechanic I have visited has always conveniently caused me more problems. unfortunately this visit was no different. I cannot say if it was just a strange coincidence or not. the repair I went in for went fine but then it happened. they were finished and couldn’t get my car into gear to drive it. I was told it was a common problem with my make of car and they were able to fix it the same day but it cost me an additional $ 100. I am thankful that it happened there and not when I had to be towed. the whole situation just makes me a bit uneasy

These guys were awesome. Called when our car starter went out, they recommended a tow company that was only $ 60 and showed up in an hour. One of the guys at the shop even gave my bf a ride back home! We don’t live too far from their shop. These guys had our new starter in the car and ready to go THE NEXT DAY! Again, someone came to our house, picked him up, and we had the car back. It was a pleasure doing business with them! We highly recommend these guys

Almost went to Jiffy Lube but good thing I didn’t. This place is awesome. Jay was so nice on the phone and in person. I asked if they used Quaker State because I can’t find anyone who does in this town and Jay said they can go pick some up and use it, no problem. Talk about great customer service! I will definitely be back!

I drive 30 minutes out of my way just to have my car handled by TW’s experienced and knowledgeable team. These guys get it done right and they tell it to you strait.
The first time I took my car here for an oil change an older gentleman walked into the waiting room with a box full of sweets. He was dropping them off with the guys just to thank them for their service. He wasn’t due to come in for an oil change for another couple of weeks but he wanted to let the guys know how much he appreciated their work. I have never seen anything like that in an auto garage before.
Since then I have witnessed first hand, on several occasions, the type of personalized and quality service the team at TW’s auto repair offers it’s customers. And we keep coming back for more.
I’ve recommended them to my in-​laws who now also sing TW’s praises to their neighbors.

This is probably the best independent auto repair shop in New Braunfels. The staff is helpful, honest, and won’t try and rob you blind for unnecessary service. Tops in my book!

If you are looking for professionalism and honesty then you have come to the right place!!! My mother-​in-​law found them and told us how great they treated her. Now we don’t want to take our vehicles anywhere else :-) TW’s just saved us $ 3000 in repairs by researching the problem and finding out that Toyota had a «bulletin» on our issue. They suggested that we go to the dealership and see if they would fix it free of charge even though our warranty had just expired. Couldn’t hurt. Toyota fixed it for free and gave us a free rental car, too! Normally, a shop would have just repaired it and charged us the $ 3k. Not these guys. We owe them BIG! Try them out… you won’t be disappointed.

This place was great… I had an emergency repair, dropped my car off on a Sunday, got it back on Tuesday. My car has a chronic overheating problem. I have taken it to three different places in the past two years, spent well over $ 1500 on those repairs combined, and I was about to give up on it when I took it to TW’s. They repaired it honestly, my bill was less than $ 100 and my car does not overheat anymore. It was a simple fix for a huge problem and I feel like finally it has been fixed for good. Their only agenda was to fix my car– there weren’t any mysterious supplemental problems with my car like I’ve experienced at other shops. If I lived in the San Antonio area, I would go here any time I had a problem.
