Mike’s Auto Body

Over the summer I brought my car into Mike’s following a car accident. This was not an easy fix as the airbag had deployed, the radiator was cracked, and essentially the entire front end of the body had to be replaced. This was my second experience working with Ed. Ed and his team are professional, detail oriented and truly care about their customers. From the car rental during the process to the quality work they produced, for the second time I was amazed again by Mike’s.
Ed is always sure to communicate the vehicle status with the customer whether via text or phone call — they never leave customers in the dark. They are NJM recommended as they should be by every auto insuranxe company. They are always informative and honest about timelines. Ed and his team will do everything in their powers to ensure customer satisfaction. I would absolutely recommend Mike’s Auto Body to anyone who needs vehicle repair.

An idiot rear ended my 04 Honda Accord coupe. My bro recommended this this auto body shop to me, BEST DECISION EVER. They kept me on notice every step of the way on the status of my car; when the part was ordered, arrival of the part, when painting began, est time of completion etc. when I got my car back a week later, I could not be any more pleased with result. The back of my car looks like it just came off of the Honda assembly line. Finally found an auto body shop I can trust, they will have my business again (cause let’s face it, this is Jersey and idiots love to drive) FYI my car was damaged before by another idiot who hit it while trying to parallel park (I did say this was Jersey right?) I took my car to this shop on Woodbridge ave borderline edison and highland park. Worst decision ever, these ppl didn’t even bother to blend the paint in. Lesson of this story? Take it to Mike’s.

When I initially went to get an estimate with Mike’s, they told me I needed an appointment, but the damage (a small dent on my passenger door) would be around $ 1,200 — $ 1,400. I went to get 2 more estimates before making an appointment with Mike’s. The first estimate was $ 850, and the second was $ 990. When I went to Mike’s I saw the man looking at places I didn’t think was neccesary, and his response was «I know what I’m talking about,» and in my experience with auto body techs, when someone is saying that, they’re trying to rip me off. The result of the estimate, over $ 3,200. Not sure where that extra $ 2,200 came from, but I highly suggest exploring other options before going to Mike’s.

I went here to fix my car after the windshield was broken and the side doors/​glass were damaged. They had my car fixed in one day, and were so pleasant and easy to work with every step of the way. This is truly a family-​run business; Ed and his wife, along with the rest of the employees, were so patient and considerate. If I have any more car trouble, I will take my services here again in a heartbeat.

My insurance company recommended Mike’s and I’m so happy that they did. I have an older Saturn, which is difficult to find parts for, but they kept on looking until every piece was perfect. I was in constant communication with them, and my car was completed when promised. It looked better than before my accident. Additionally, they are a warm, friendly bunch and dealing with them was a pleasure. I would recommend highly to anyone.

We took our Honda Civic to Mike’s Auto Body in New Brunswick for a paint job. Ed Janovsky is the best. Although he was extremely busy, he was able to get our car done within a few days. We got the car back looking like new. The paint job was perfect and the car was washed and clean. They texted us when the car was ready to be picked up and everyone there, including the receptionist was pleasant and professional. Open Road Honda had suggested we go there since it was a recall. I’m so glad they did because I will never use another shop. I have 3 children and have been to auto body shops for years. I will only use Mike’s Auto Body in the future and highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

I had the most horrible experience at this terrible excuse for an auto body shop. I dropped my car off to get a bumper cover fixed due to an accident. My trunk also became stuck due to the accident. Mike’s had the car for 11 days and in those 11 days all they did was cause even more damage to my car. They couldn’t open the trunk, broke a tail lamp, dented the trunk and left it with tool marks because they thought it would be a good idea to try to pry the trunk open. They said the ONLY other way to get it open was to cut a hole through the side panel which would cost thousands more. I got Milltown Liberty to pick up my car from Mike’s Auto Body because I seeked advice elsewhere and they got my trunk open in one minute with a broom stick through the back seat. Just like that. The people at Mike’s are incompetent and don’t know how to do their job. The Mike’s employee, Rich, who was updating me while my car was there didn’t even say anything or get up from behind his computer to speak to me when I went to confront him. The owner didn’t even have the decency to pay for the damages they caused or even apologize for what they had done. And on top of that they had the nerve to charge $ 154 for «the job.» DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. It doesn’t even deserve one star.

I really like that they texted and emailed regular updates while they were working on my car, and that they were finished a day earlier than they had initially estimated.
