Sixth Ward Service Center

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE !!! These guys are a bunch of old grumpy men who hates their job. They are extremely rude and talk to you with a nasty attitude.

Based on two personal recommendations that I received, I took my car to Sixth Ward Service Center, after a bad experience with PepBoys on Route 1 in North Brunswick. Bill was great to deal with. He spoke to me very simply and did not treat me like I would never understand him just because I was female, an experience that I have often come into contact with when it comes to mechanics. I was planning on walking to work from his shop, but he immediately offered a ride to me and dropped me off at work. He was not someone to be weary of accepting a ride from at all. He kept me informed all day of the progress and any questions and there was never any question of his integrity and honesty. He finished my car in one day and had it completed by 5pm.
The most impressive part to me was that my boss had offered to give me a ride to the shop so I could pick up my car. After I got confirmation from Bill that the car was done and we hung up, he called me back and asked if I needed a ride. The fact that he even thought to do that was very kind and genuine, something I appreciated.
His pricing was reasonable and I could tell that everything was done with integrity. I have already started to recommend the Sixth Ward Service Center to people that I know.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. This is a great shop with old school mechanics. They have worked on my Mercedes and my ford van. No job to small or to big.

I went here for a tire patch. Price was somewhat reasonable and the original guy I left my vehicle with nice. However, when I went to pick up my truck, the guy was short with me and somewhat rude. I would probably go elsewhere next time.
