History

Established in 1988.

The UCEDA schools have been promoting English language learning since 1988. When the Uceda family first immigrated to the United States, they recognized the need for English language learning among the Latino and other immigrant populations in the United States, and they opened the first Uceda schools in New York City and Passaic County, New Jersey. Uceda began with a unique personal approach that sets us apart from other programs. What makes Uceda International different from other schools is the fact that we focus our education on our student’s needs rather than just on teaching a program. What this means is that when teachers plan their classes they keep in mind what our students need to learn in order to successfully deal with situations that arise in their daily lives.

Business Owner

Mr. Carlos A. Uceda is the CEO of Uceda Institute Inc. He has led the chain of schools for 25 years, managing the development of a proprietary line of textbooks, overseeing the instruction of many thousands of students, and growing a winning team of faculty and staff. Before beginning his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Uceda served as an Executive Director for INSUCAP, a licensed professional development school in Lima, Peru.
