History
Established in 2003.
In 2000, former owner Melissa Spevacek started teaching voice lessons in New Canaan, CT after her mother, Choral composer Linda Spevacek, posted a note online. Within 2 years she had 40 students with an additional 20 students on her waiting list. She started hiring her friends from the city to teach her waiting list. ‘How can you say no to a child who wants to sing?! ’ By 2003, she was renting 4 different locations and people were requesting acting and dance classes. The Studio opened in 2003. Current owner Lorah Haskins took over in 2010 after studying Musical Theatre & Communications at UW-Madison and growing up performing. We now have over 300 fabulous students, 20 incredible instructors, and the greatest environment ever. Life is good.
