Jameson Hospital North Campus

The maternity ward at this hospital is now closed. UPMC has bought out this hospital. Let’s hope they can save whats left of it.

Everything a bad hospital can be. The care here is abysmal and the staff make it clear that they don’t give a rat’s butt about anything. My partner was twice placed in the middle bed of a dark three bed ward without even enough room to put a chair next to the bed to talk. The trash can had a 6×8 inch bandage in it covered with blood and puss; apparently the folks here have not heard about red bags for biohazards. Privacy issues seem to be of no concern. The docs seem arrogant or incompetent, or both. (But what can one expect of graduates of the University of Bumfukistan?) I’ve twice taken my partner out of this dump against medical advice; we usually go to Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, but have been stuck here a couple times because the local ambulance service refuses to drive to Pittsburgh. Seriously, take your chances, get in your car, and drive to Pittsburgh, I wouldn’t take my cocker spaniel here. Oh, did I mention they charge $ 5 a day for television?
