The mission of Art & Soul Tattoo and Gallery is to educate and expose the general public to every aspect of art as well as remove any and all stereotypes correlated with the different genres of art.

Art & Soul is a full service tattoo/​piercing shop along with artists for eyelash extensions, permanent make-​up, areola repigmentation, scar camoflauge and beauty mark tattooing. In conjunction with a first-​rate art gallery, this is a one-​of-​a-​kind shop for sure!

All art in the gallery is all created by Wisconsin local artists, all within 60 miles of New Glarus. You will find everything from pottery to glass, from oil paintings to unique 3D art.

History

Established in 2011.

I am the owner of Art & Soul Tattoo and Gallery in New Glarus Wisconsin. I have always been interested in all forms of art, which is why I decided to combine the art of tattooing and piercing to an art gallery. I was born in the Chicago area and raised in Wisconsin. After I graduated from high school, I decided that traveling is what I wanted to do, so I headed West. I spent a lot of time in New Mexico and Colorado. I aquired my love of cooking while I was in New Mexico and have expanded my skills from there. In 2002 I decided to come back «home» and so I ended up in New Glarus. I had many jobs between 2002 and the time I opened up Art & Soul Tattoo and Gallery, though none that fulfilled me as a person. When many things in my life changed, I decided to do something that was what I finally wanted to do. Thus, spawned Art & Soul… the combination of 30 Wisconsin artists and 2 tattoo artists, 2 piercing artists, 1 permanent make-​up artist and all of my gallery artists.

Business Owner

Renee’ was born in Lake County Illinois in 1972 and was quickly brought to Blanchardville Wisconsin in 1976 to grow up. In 1990, Renee’ decided it was time to experience the rest of the US and left for New Mexico, where she spent a year at a ski resort. After the ski resort closed, Renee’ moved to Denver, where she really did her «growing up». Working on her Accounting degree and tackling the Marketing and Advertising part of her career. In 2002, after much growth and change, Renee’ decided to head back to where it all began; Wisconsin. New Glarus was where she decided to call home and has worked for a testing lab, armorer and finally a Porsche racing team. When life changed in October, Renee’ decided to go where her passions lay… art!
