Alua Tan

My girlfriends and I wanted a spray tan before going to Puerto Rico on a trip so we weren’t Casper on the beach. We had an INCREDIBLE experience! It was my first tan but my friends are seasoned vets and agreed it was the best tan they’ve had with the best customer experience.
Quick, easy, affordable and mobile. Can’t ask for more than that! I will definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend.

I needed a spray tan before going on vacation so I didn’t look pasty white on the beach. I researched my options in the area and found Alua Tan to be the only mobile spray tanning business around. I thought I would give it a try rather than going to a salon.
I called the phone number listed on their Unilocal profile and website (out of state?) and left a voicemail. I received a phone call about an hour later from Val, a pleasant, friendly voice. It was easy to schedule an appointment with her and she was able to work with my schedule.
On the morning of my appointment she gave me a reminder phone call to ensure I had exfoliated and would be prepared for her arrival that afternoon. She arrived promptly with all her gear in hand and setup her spray tent in my living room. She provided me with a pair of disposable underwear and a hair net. I thought it might feel strange being nearly naked in front of a complete stranger, but it didn’t feel awkward at all.
Once I was ready, I stepped onto some sticky cardboard feet to keep the bottoms of my feet from getting a tan, rubbed some cream onto my knees, elbows, feet and hands to minimize the tanning process in those areas, and then got into the tent.
The spray tanning process went quickly and easily with Val providing direction on what to do, when to turn, etc. The spray tan mist is a little cold but it doesn’t last long.
The bronzer looked awesome; I was really dark. Then, I showered in the morning and it all washed off! I was a little bummed, but when compared to where I wasn’t spray tanned I was already darker and Val told me the tan would develop over 24 hours. It did! Even though I was swimming in the ocean and a pool, the tan lasted really well and after about 4 – 5 days slowly began to fade. I’m sure if I hadn’t been in the salt water and chlorine water every day the tan would’ve lasted longer. Now that I’m back from vacation I’m thinking about getting another spray tan just to keep my just-​back-​from-​vacation look going a little longer.
Amazing price for having someone come to me rather than having to drive out of my way and a super easy process! 5*‘s for sure!
