It was okay. Not much to say, the people were pretty nice but the food wasn’t that great. I wanted just a regular BLT(and asked for a regular BLT over the phone) and was given one that was loaded with shredded chicken for whatever reason(I didn’t realize this until I got home). And honestly the chicken ruined it because the chicken itself tasted kinda gross. Also there was like half a slice of bacon on this alleged BLT. Had to try to pull out all the chicken and add extra mayo and stuff at home, at which point I noticed almost no bacon at all. Seriously like half a slice distributed across the whole thing. Not great. That is not a BLT. I also got the mozzarella sticks but there were only four for like $ 6 and they were small and cold(I started eating them in the car so it’s not like they got cold in the drive home. Also yes I eat in the car don’t judge haha). Not impressed and way overpriced for what they offer. Wouldn’t come back here.

This is one of my fav pizza joints, the crust is thin and crispy the sauce tastes flavorful with oregano and fresh basil, I honestly think this place beats pepe’s which is just over rated

Pizza and mozzarella sticks were delish! Food was served fast, was piping hot and tasted fresh. Employees were friendly. I’m not from the area but if I find myself in New Haven again, I’d visit Costa Pizza again!

It’s a convenient spot for a slice(buffalo chicken baby). My friends get delivery from here and they are pretty happy with the service. Quality of the pizza… is okay. A little greasy. Adequate sized slice. Reminds me a lot of Marco Polo on Crown Street.

I know one of the owners the food is good I was not at all disappointed I got a large bacon pizza and the wings hot and yes it is. My family and I really enjoyed it. I recommend this place if you are ever in the area.

They make a generic New York style pizza which just doesn’t fly really well with this New Haven raised boy. Just look at the photo of my slice. Does that look appetizing at all? Their sign out front advertises the words«Italian cuisine». Ha, saying this place creates Italian cuisine is like saying Burger King creates American cuisine. Give me a break. To those who say this pizza compares with the other New Haven greats, I really really want to know what you’re smoking. Seriously. I think maybe some Yale students are forgetting to turn on their fume hoods in their chem lab. In addition to rotting their brains the toxic vapors must be rotting their taste buds too.

I cannot believe how unprofessional this place was! Showed up almost an HOURLATE for a delivery on a $ 250+ order to a school. The driver– who barely spoke English– interrupted the presentation I was making that I had to start LATE, then take a half hour brake for eating. If you can’t fill and order and deliver on it don’t take it!

Costa Pizza is fantastic! I am a personal fan of the calzones they have here. Always generous with the toppings and bursting with flavor! Also, if you order food from here you should try the garlic knots as an appetizer!

I’ve been repeatedly disappointed with this restaurant. I like the convenience of it being the closest pizza place to my home, but the pizza has been continuously unsatisfactory. The pizza crust was about as thin as a few sheets of paper, cheese was scarce and not distributed across all of the pizza. The sauce too was patchy, leaving lots of empty burnt crust areas. Despite the uneven cheese distribution, somehow the entire pizza managed to be ridiculously greasy. Some of it came from the toppings of course, but this was without a doubt the greasiest pizza I have ever had. Prices for almost everything on the menu are unreasonably high.

I really like this place. The Pizza is really close to being on par with the famous New Haven establishments, but getting the pizza is much less stressful(no hordes of people to fight through). I love the famous places, but sometimes I feel like I’m fighting for food in some U.N. refugee camp. At Costa it’s a breeze to get your food and it is GOOD!

I ordered delivery on a Saturday night and it took almost an hour and a half and the pie was ice cold. The pizza is good though so I’d recommend takeout rather than delivery!

This is a new-er Pizza joint that is adjacent to the Bruggers bagels on Whitney ave in NH. They make very nice salads(huge) but no home-made dressings. I have never had the pizza before, but several co-workers say it is pretty good. Overall, small family run business, perfect if you are going to jury duty(literally 1 block away) or are in town and want to catch a quick bite. I like this place!

I ordered pizza late night on a weekend and this place was open until 2:00AM. I ordered a medium 4-cheese pizza with pepperoni, ground beef, and sausage via Eat24. What can I say? The pizza was GREAT! The leftover pieces still tasted delicious after refrigerating and reheating in the oven the next day. If not for the long delivery wait(45 minutes?), I would have given them 5 stars! I will definitely order from them again.

Good place to go to for a late night slice of pizza. It is right next door to Anna Liffey’s, so after some drinks, you’re within arms reach of a quality New York style pizza. Small spot, which makes it exclusively a reason to get your pizza and go.

Best bang for your buck! The pizza is solid and their sauce is SUPERB! Seriously. We ordered mozzarella sticks and a medium chicken florentine pizza – it fed 2 of us well past satiety. We also ordered 2 cannoli and a tiramisu. Both were excellent and definitely worth the money. They deliver too so that’s a definite bonus. If you don’t want to pay the Wooster St. pizza prices then try Costa… it definitely won’t disappoint!

I drove up to New Haven from NY to work at an event. Planned to get there early so I could hit Modern Apizza, which is 3 blocks from where I was working, but the cursed traffic on the Merritt Parkway foiled that plan completely… Are CT drivers really as bad as they seem? Why can’t they handle a few cars merging at an on-ramp??? Sorry to digress… So, I finish the job at midnight, hungry and not looking forward to the trip home. Then I notice Costa Pizza as I pass through an intersection at 12:30am. The«open» sign was lit, so I went back around the block to stop. They were obviously cleaning up and getting ready to close, but were very friendly and offered to cook whatever I wanted. I kept it simple, asking for a small cheese pizza to go and told them I like it crispy. The pizza was excellent… half-a-notch below Modern or Sally’s, but they were open late, and I was out the door with my pie in under 15 minutes. Ate it while driving… with the box on the passengers seat and a Foxon’s ginger ale in the cup holder… and had it fully consumed by the time I passed Trumbull… Highly recommended.
