Dr Schmidt is an Alumnus of the City University of New York, Columbia University, and the University of Alabama. He is a member of the American Association of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery, and is the coordinator for the residents in plastic surgery training at Yale Medical School. He has privileges at Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital/​ST Raphael Campus.
