New Haven Self Storage

As a newly relocated person to the area, I was incredibly heartened by the outstanding customer service and attention to my storage needs. New Haven Self Storage has great rates and a clean, climate controlled facility which was perfect for my needs.

Avoid doing business with New Haven Self Storage at all costs. My unit was broken into and two tvs were stolen. The manager refused to cooperate with a police investigation, refused to review surveillance tapes, and denied that there had been any theft. Moreover, the manager tried to blame me for negligence, saying I never locked my unit (the padlock was cut with wire cutters). Through the course of this fiasco it became clear that New Haven Self Storage had one overriding keycode access pin number that they gave to everyone moving in… and it never changed. Virtually anyone could enter the facility at any time with that keycode, and yet they tried to blame me for negligence. When I said I wanted to pursue a police investigation, the manager became belligerent and cursed at me. Luckily the police officer was very helpful and I was able to file a police report even without the manager’s cooperation. The police officer indicated that theft was not unusual at this facility. The staff members are reasonably helpful and sympathetic, but I am sorry that they have to work under such unprofessional, irresponsible management. Stay away.

Had a very favorable experience here… reasonable rates, helpful and competent staff, and plenty of different unit sizes to choose from. I didn’t look at any other options in the area so I’m not sure what else is out there, but I would definitely recommend this as an option based on my experience.
