History

Established in 1999.

Prometheus Research was founded in 1999 by Leon Rozenblit, JD, PhD. Headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut, Prometheus has grown to over 50 employees. Prometheus has been recognized for rapid growth by Inc. 5000, Inner City 100 and Marcum Tech Top 40. Prometheus also has been named as a Best Place to Work in Connecticut for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Prometheus has successfully competed for grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and from the National Institute of Health (NIH) to develop and enhance our open source data management and integration technologies.

We have spent over a decade creating and refining a flexible, configurable software platform and efficient service practices that meets the needs of researchers for managing and sharing research data. We now see an opportunity to extend our solutions to other kinds of organizations that have intensive data integration and data management needs.
