Spring Gulch Resort Campground

awesome place many things to do. renting a cart is highly recomended take a walk around the whole camp site so many friendly people with 50 foot long campers. great pool (s) the one day time pool has a steady amount of kids which is fair enough and the upper pool in the evening is mostly adults or teens minding there business. The tent sites are mostly all on high ground and shaded. camp store is stocked from your wooden matches to the iphone charger great place

(October 2014) My wife and I have camped at Spring Gulch many times in the past, however we sold our 5er about 5 years ago and just this year purchased a new one. This used to be our favorite place to camp. However, we were a bit disappointed this time. We stayed for three nights, and the total cost was about $ 190, for full hook up 50 amp, and cable. (Crappy signal, I might add) For what they have to offer, this is a bit much. They have a pool and a pond, and not much else. Our can opener broke, so I went to the camp store in an attempt to purchase a new one. The shelves were all but empty! Only a small section with a few food items, and a few camper accessories. I have no idea what that was about. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was the teenagers driving through the campground on golf carts, screaming at the top of their lungs. This went on till about 11:30 PM. However, there are still some good points to the campground. The grounds were extremely clean, and the sites are huge. We will try spring gulch one more time next year, and hope for better. If not, we’ll cross it off of our list.
UPDATE (2015):
We camped here again in April of this year and unfortunately I have nothing good to add. Still had teens racing around the campground in golf carts till 10 pm. We camp in the 1500 numbered sights, which are the most expensive and also the most private. One row down and a few sites over a very large group of campers, ranging mid 20’s to mid 30’s, were partying, without regard to their neighbors, till midnight. Worst of all, we lost power at 2:30 AM. I measured voltage at the 50 amp receptacle at 138 volts. Our campers over voltage protection had kicked in and disconnected us. Unfortunately it was 50 degrees outside. It got pretty cold in there before morning! I talked to other campers and this seems to be a common occurrence anymore. Very disappointed!

We tent camped in a standard site for the weekend. We all had a wonderful time. Lots of activities to do and everyone was very pleasant. We had a great time in the lake, tie died tee shirts and enjoyed a wonderful pig roast. We topped off Saturday night by listening to the band that was playing from our campsite. We would definitely go back. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is for the following… Showers were not that clean, campsite had a lot of left trash around which we had to clean before we pitched our tent, and the children’s playground was muddy and full of weeds. I think if woodchips were put down in the playground it would be perfect. All simple fixes for the owners. I hope they read the reviews here so our next stay will be even better. One more thing. I had one of the best massages ever at the spa. The woman who did my massage was phenomenal. I would definitely book with her again.

Rented a cabin here from a Saturday to a Wednesday. Very disappointed. First we reserved a lakeside only to find out they gave it away and we ended up with a chalet.
Was told they have internet service through
and that didn’t work.
Our chalet was gross and dirty, the loft had old receipts, change and dirt on the floor. There wasn’t a trash barrel in the bathroom so the previous users had thrown their trash under the sink, which was left for us to find. The chalet itself had a funny odor to it, which we could not figure out the source. The cookware was disgusting, full of soot and looked like it was purchased at a yard sale.
They change the gate codes on Tuesday, but no one bothered to tell us.
The hot tub was tepid at best.
When we checked out we explained about our dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and was not apologized to, but told we should have called them right away instead of complaining when we checked out.
Oh yes, no game room either even though it’s advertised.
Pros:Decent amenities, beautiful woods in gorgeous Lancaster county. The chalet area is nice and quiet. Great location for visitors. Too bad it’s run by bush leaguers.

Love this place looking forward to future returns. Nice spacious wooded lots located out in farm country away from outlets and crowded touristy spots very peaceful and beautiful. We are looking forward to coming back and staying again in the future

One of the best campgrounds in Lancaster county. We have been seasonal for the last three years. Staff is friendly and helpful

The campground is a good place to go with family when you are looking to go camping without truly roughing it. The area is safe and quiet even though people are all around. If you rent the houses, each one is cozy, however if you are looking for amenities, the owners have not updated with the times. On the premises there is a pool, hot tub, beach (on a lake), gym, mini golf and spa.
