Flemington Nails Three

I’ve come here for years, mostly because it’s so convenient. Never a long wait, always tons of staff, and they do a good job. If you want short, you do have to emphasize that with them. The free massage at the drying station is always welcome. If you want a longer massage in the chair, it’s $ 1/​minute, and he does a great job.

I don’t get my nails done often, and when I do I go mostly because my cuticles are out of control. I’ve been here twice, the first time, for a pedicure that came out alright. It chipped in a couple days, but I let it go.
The last time I was here, however, I left seething. It was summer, and my cuticles were bad. I’m a «short nail nut», so I clip my nails BEFORE getting a manicure to ensure they are short enough for me (I know, I know, whatta freak). So really, a big chunk of the manicure is taken care of before even sitting down.
When I sat down, I noticed not only did the woman not file my nails smooth, she didn’t buff them either. I distracted myself with the tv, and when I looked back down, I noticed she was painting OVER my cuticles. Rather than speak up, I fumed. On top of it, I had chosen a white color, and it came out extremely streaky.
I went to work the next day, and my friend thought I had done them myself with white-​out. Enough said.
As a side note, when you go to the drying table, this man comes around and starts massaging your shoulders and back. I was a little taken back at first. It only lasts a couple of minutes, and there is a tip jar (separate tip from manicure) on the table in front if you. It feels nice, but is awkward for me. I guess this could be a positive or negative thing, depending on the person.
I won’t go back and would not recommend. Cash tips only, fyi.

the services are good. However the customer service is dumb. If a walk in appears they will drop you in the middle of a manicure. They would rather get the walk in that keep a good customer. I have had this experience many times. In spite of the fact that I have complained about it. Hannah the manager will take the girl who is doing your manicure to do the walk in and make you wait to be completed until someone else is available. This is very dumb service. I don’t go there anymore unless I am desperate.
