The whole team at Focal Point Optical pride themselves on their dedication to the field and to their patients and customers. Through continuing education, they strive to keep up with the latest products and materials so they can bring quality care to everyone who walks through the doors of their offices.

Because of their quality work and loyal clientele, Focal Point opened a second location in Garden City Park and brought on another member of the Focal family, Dr. Alice Mann. Shortly after graduating at the top of her class from Suny College of Optometry, Dr. Mann joined owners Fred and Walter at Focal Point and began building relationships with her patients.

History

Established in 1982.

After spending their teen years working at a local Optometrist, both Fred Rapps and Walter Nacinovich decided to remain in the field and dedicate their lives to providing quality eye care for customers. Following their schooling, both Fred and Walter became New York State licensed Opticians and got to work. Their shop started off in Walter’s basement where it eventually outgrew the space and relocated to an office in Bayside. Now as owners of two successful locations of Focal Point Optical, the patient quality and care remains the same. The whole team looks forward to meeting you and adding you to the long history of happy patients.

Business Owner

Fred and his business partner Walter have been working in the optometry field for most of their life. Fred enjoys getting to help patients see and feel better through his work. Fred is a New York State licensed Optician, and his one of the best in the area. He looks forward to meeting you and helping you as a patient and friend.
