Pricey? Hardly. $ 7.95 for all you can eat lunch is pretty darn cheap. The dinner price as well is comparable to other Chinese buffets in the area. It’s also one of the better Chinese buffets, in my opinion, as the selection is slightly larger. I appreciate the many vegetable options and fruit for dessert. Occasionally, things are a bit on the burned side, or the waitress is less than pleasant, which is why I marked this down a star, or else it would have been five. This is my favorite Chinese buffet in this area.

People working over here are very rude, although foods are ok, for the price, very very rude service.

This restaurant was absolutely terrible. The food tasted very strange, and it was not appetizing at all. Upon asking for the check I was charged for two meals, even though I was the only one that actually made a plate while my girlfriend was just there with me. The food was so terrible I only ate two egg rolls and they were trying to charge me for 2 meals. The waitress was very rude and talked with a tone and tried to tell me the miscommunication was my fault. After finally getting one of the meal charges taken off the bill, I quickly signed the check and left the restaurant promptly. Needless to say, she received a deserving 0 dollar tip.

This place used to be good but the quality has gone down significantly. My parents ended up with uncooked fried shrimp. It’s no longer worth it to go here.

I just returned from Panda Buffett and the best advice I can give you is to not make the same mistake. My usual spot is Infinity Buffett in Norwich which is excellent but I was starving and right near Panda and you know the rest. First, the people who run it are very rude and all people who run Chinese restaurants are rude so they had to be exceptionally rude for me to even mention it. But, I really don’t care about rude as long as the food is good which it is not. It looks good, clean, fresh all of that but it does not taste good and that is the whole point. I took my food in one of those take out styrofoam containers and ended up throwing most of it out. The only way that this place could be staying open is because they are they only game in town. I though it was that bad.

A wide selection of buffet favorites & ice creams for dessert. The lunch price is about $ 7/person & dinner price is about $ 13/person. Dinner items tend to have more«expensive» selections like crab legs, clams, crawfish, variety of shrimp, fish, & steak. I prefer coming in for an enjoyable lunch option & low price! The food has always been fresh & hot. Haven’t seen anything«stale» at this place.

I always get the buffet-to-go. There are always plenty of options and the servers are constantly refreshing the food on the bar – this of course depends on when you visit. The food isn’t anything to write home about, bu it’s a Chinese buffet. What do expect?

Goldfish and Buddha Panda Buffet is a very typical Asian American boofay. None of the food here will surprise but nothing I’ve ever had disappointed either. A huge selection of the usual favorites along with a bit of sushi and lots of crisp and fresh veggies. I thought the décor was pretty entertaining and amusing. Little fake ponds and fountains filled with goldfish and all kinds of little statues of Buddha and other very plastic looking Asian stuff. Fun to look at, this is kitsch at it’s finest. Nothing gourmet or even remotely authentic, anyone looking for fine Asian food at a boofay is delusional and foolish. But there is a whole heap of good food here. Some of it healthy, some not so healthy. But the price is great and you definitely won’t leave hungry.

Nice Selection and good price! For my husband and I with drinks we paid less then $ 20! They even have sushi which was actually pretty good! I loved the salmon and cream cheese role. I think my favorite thing there is the coconut chicken! Overall a good place to get a lot of bang for your buck. Its right across from pet smart and right by marshalls.

We stopped here for the dinner buffet which begins at 3pm. There was a wide variety of food. The seafood cake was delicious. I usually go for the sushi. They have a good selection of sushi rolls, not a huge sushi buffet but big enough and they were pretty good. The service was great. They also have ice cream of a variety of flavors, it’s not the same old boring fro-yo. I’d go there again.

A decent buffet, the best time to go is when they first open for the day. The food is the freshest and usually not too busy. Later in the day they tend to get slow on refilling food. The selection is not huge but has something for everybody and includes sushi.

Went to see my Nephew in Groton CT with my family of 6. Was looking for decent place that wasn’t to pricey. Found this place on Unilocal and was going to pass it by at first because of the ratings. We decided to walk in and around to see the place. We stayed and I am so glad we did. The price was right, the service was great, the food was tasty. Everything was well stocked. My 8 year old daughter left full. I will definitely go back here if my Nephew is still stationed here.

negative reviews aside, we decided to stop and eat here because we wanted Chinese and this was close to where we were at that time. it won’t make it into Conde Nast, but decent, fresh and reasonable. place was busy but not crowded, sushi was not the best, much better vegetables. chicken coconut and so many choices. this is not a place you drive 100 miles to get to, but for lunch in New London or Groton, it’s a thumbs up.

Hummmm not the best day for food there, seemed like dinner was lunch leftovers, tea was good, price was good. Crab was salty and soft On to better places? Will most likely not return as there’s so much better food around this area.

I was here today and this place has gone downhill BIGTIME. I’ve eaten here maybe 2 or 3 times before and enjoyed it but today will be my last visit. Old sushi, low quality Chinese food(by typical Chinese buffet standard). Avoid.

I’ve been here many times over the years since they first opened. Located in the New London Mall with Shop Rite and Petsmart. Good amount of options for food and good value for what they offer. Standard drink options. Soup, ice cream, sushi, fruits. Plenty of seating and you can reserve a room for large groups and parties. Good value.

The hot and sour soup is more sweet and mild but adding white pepper to it makes it tolerable. I love coming here because it’s inexpensive and there’s different things to try. My favorite things to pick up are the wakame sushi, steamed dumplings, and crab cakes. My husband enjoys the lychee and green beans. I give it 3 stars because, although the food and price are good, it still doesn’t negate the«Chinese buffet» vibe with the inappropriate music, odd water features, and tacky 80s fluorescent soffit lighting.

I have been several times with my son, and usually are very happy and very full when we leave :-) on Tues night wife, son & I went as we were in New London for an event, and stopped in. as always it was decent and had the normal ‘good’ variety. Gourmet it is not, but it works for us. Steamed dumplings, sushi and the Endame beans are my fovorites
