I came here two times right before my wedding.
I made an appointment for 3 manicures and the nail techs gave us perfect manicures. Whitney did my nails and they were flawless. All of the employees in the salon are native English speakers so it was nice to be able to communicate with them so easily and tell them exactly what I wanted.
The next day, I came for dry styling with Kim. She gave me perfect waves. It was just what I wanted and the service was very inexpensive.
I highly recommend this salon for your beauty needs.

I’m not entirely sure why this place has such great reviews?
My disclaimer is that I am accustomed to, and expected, a massage chair/​whirlpool foot spa. Instead this place just has a pillow topped bench situated alongside the wall with 3 or 4 foot sinks.
Service was decent, though I would’ve appreciated a longer and deeper massage.
They don’t have a drying station, either… and the nail technician who was working with me just disappeared when she was done. I was told to sit there for a minute and she never came back to check on me. Consequently, 20 minutes later, I paid and left – turns out my big toe wasn’t dry yet and it smudged on my way back to the hotel.
For the price ($ 70 for a mani and pedi) I would’ve expected a lot more. Also, they do have mimosas, rosé, and water available to drink but it’s just tap water in dirty looking plastic tumblers. :(
I don’t know what the standard is for nail shops in NOLA, but in Chicago? I’m used to a MUCH larger polish selection, a massage chair with a whirpool foot soaking tub, a longer and deeper foot/​calf massage, more attentive service, a drying station, a bottled water, and all for about $ 20 cheaper. :(

I have been here a few times and Ive always had a great experience. The staff is super friendly, the place is really cute & clean, and most importantly, they do a great job. I even got my nails done here with my bridesmaids before my wedding. They were very accommodating about getting us appointments together at the same time. The technicians were really sweet with with my 9-​yr old neice, who was a junior bridesmaid. You can also book online, which is really handy. They offer champagne & mimosas which is a nice touch. All of my mani/​pedis from here have lasted really well. Its a bit more pricey than a regular strip-​mall nail salon, but its well worth the extra few dollars!

If your feet need a little extra TLC I’d recommend bringing your own pumice or file. The ones used aren’t very abrasive and won’t get the job done if it’s been a rough month! Lol

Walked into a very friendly and clean environment. Whitney did my gel manicure and she was wonderful! She was personable yet didn’t talk about herself too much. She gave some suggestions for night life as we were visiting from out of town. But most importantly, the manicure turned out beautifully! She paid attention to detail and although she was precise and accurate the first time, she corrected a small smudge. I would definitely recommend their nail services!

I love Buff Beauty Bar. They have great hours to come in and get waxings. Their prices are better than Waxing the City, and you can get a free mimosa or glass of wine before your appointment. I will definitely be coming back to Buff Beauty Bar.

Visited this great salon while in town on business. I booked my appts on-​line for same day service. Charlotte did my mani and pedi. She was very thorough and detailed. I was very pleased with the services and salon! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was offered a beverage while I waited (I arrived early). I chose a mimosa. Fabulous! Prices were reasonable. Although walk-​in appts are welcomed I suggest an appt. as the nail technicians were booked solid.

I came here for my wedding. My experience with booking was Fantastic! Initially they did not have the appointment time that I wanted. However they said they would call me if they had an opening. I was given a call and moved to the time that I originally requested. For that I was very grateful.
I came for a pedicure and gel manicure. I chose the location because it looked high end and the prices are high end. I have worked in an Extremely High end salon and spa on the Las Vegas strip. Perhaps my standards are high but the price didn’t match the quality of service.
The girl who did my pedicure was clearly in a foul mood. She did not smile the entire time. I explained that I was a bride (which to me would mean a little elevated service).I did have a friend with me so I know that she wasn’t part of our conversation however, she had a sour look on her face the entire time. she took me over to perform my manicure and she began to try to review my polish. I explained to her that it was gel polish. To which she let out a deep sigh and asked me «you didn’t tell him you had gel on when you booked your appointment?» I explained to her no, but no one had ever asked me that. She began slamming things around and opening drawers frustrated. She was explaining to me that it messes up her appointment time because it takes way longer to remove the polish. I understand that they have a business to run. However, there were three nail techs, a stylist, and front desk girl there with 4 clients.
I ended up getting my hair shampooed while my gel polish was soaking off. The girl shampooed my hair was very nice and friendly.
I then got my manicure. Though the girl who did my nails was very sweet she seemed rather timid. First, another girl had to explain to her how Matte topcoat works (which made me uneasy). And I asked her to file my nails Square. They were not square they were actually more around. I had been at the salon for a few hours and was just over it so I didn’t even bother asking for them to be fixed. I ended up buying a file and filing my own nails on the day of my wedding. which isn’t necessarily an issue however, when I paid $ 100 I would expect a greater sequence of service and customer satisfaction.
The girl the front desk was also very friendly. She let me charge my phone which was completely dead. I was having a destination wedding and had been running around the entire week and somehow lost my phone charger.
The salon is cute, I like the Décor, and everything was clean. I think some of the people need to work on their customer service skills. Additionally my toes and my nails on my hands were supposed to be the same color. They were supposed to have the gel match to the non-​gel polish on my toes. My toes look black my fingers look Burgundy.

I’ve passed Buff many times, but today was the first time I went in for a service. Decided I wanted to get a manicure on my hour lunch break. I tried to schedule my appt. online but something was wrong with their system. I gave them a call in the morning and was able to make an appointment that afternoon with Charlotte. $ 25 for a regular manicure before tip.
Buff is great because it’s not far from work so I was able to be in and out in 45 minutes. I didn’t have to wait even though I got there about 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. My manicurist was friendly and the results were fine. A little pricey, but I’ll probably end up going every now and then just because it’s so convenient.

Unilocal let me down!!! Really not worth $ 80 for a no-​chip mani and pedi. Should’ve looked much closer at my hands before the tip. This salon did NOT provide the level of quality I’m accustomed to paying when Spa-​like prices are involved. Good products, but there was a faint smell of sewage.

Raine did a wonderful job, I was really happy with my brazilian wax here! I booked it the day before I wanted to come in, and there were quite a few appointments available in the afternoon which fit my schedule.
The place itself is really nice, pretty close to the French Quarter, where we were staying. I like the décor, it’s cute, clean and welcoming. I came about 15 min early and I was able to start right away.
She used hard, hot wax (I think), which was great, because not only was it mostly painless, but it was fast too. She was super friendly, and the place was very clean, which is really important.
It cost $ 50, and with tip, it was $ 58. I would say it was worth it, but a definitely on the pricier end.

We came here for an early mothers day celebration as we were on the quest to find a nail salon that could accommodate 4 pedicures at the same time. They were very friendly and even though they didn’t have 4 pedicurists on the schedule that day they added one to accommodate us. That was really nice of them as they could have easily told us no.
The place itself is decorated very modern and offers a very clean, minimalist atmosphere. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted and after we checked in with the front desk we were asked what we wanted to drink. They had complimentary mimosas, wine and champagne, the perfect way to begin to unwind. Once we picked out our polish colors we were well on our way to getting our pedicures. Everyone was so nice and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. My polish never chipped the whole time I had it on. I will definitely be back.
The only downside is that its street parking only, which isn’t something that they can control. They told us most of their business comes from people who work in the CBD so parking probably isn’t an issue for their regular customers. Aside from parking being an issue I would definitely go to Buff again.

I needed a wax, but it was Sunday and seemingly everywhere was closed. Everywhere but Buff. I checked their online bookings, but they had nothing available. I called and asked if they could maybe squeeze me in. Not only were they super nice, but they found time for me!
Seriously the best Brazilian of my life. Courtney knows what she’s doing, and she is quick about it. She is talkative and friendly (but not in the creepy weird way). They use hard wax and are super clean. I’ve never felt more comfortable while getting waxed. Even better than the great waxing, you can book online 24 hrs a day.

This place caught my attention as my companion and I made our way to Herbsaint when we were visiting New Orleans. I thought it looked very hip and cute.
The next day was dreary and rainy and as my companion headed off to work a food event, I contemplated how I was going to spend the day. I decided that I would get my nails done and made an appointment for a gel manicure at Buff. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered me a drink as I waited from my nail tech to get her station ready. I think her name may have been Whitney but she was a gem. She explained everything about a gel manicure to me since I had never had one. She told me what to ask for when I got home and needed to remove the polish.
She did a fantastic job and if I lived in New Orleans, this would definitely be my nail bar of choice.
I highly recommend the services they offer here.

First off, let’s start with free champagne. If that doesn’t get you pumped up to be pampered, I don’t know what will!
Second, the service was amazing! I was able to book an appointment that day with Angie who was incredible. The place is clean and bright and very welcoming. I haven’t been to get a mani/​pedi in 6 years, so I was definitely looking for a special experience. Angie was so sweet and gave me great recommendations for things to do during my stay in NOLA. I have some TOUGH feet and she got all of the roughness off and did an amazing job with my pedicure.
Last, my manicure was amazing. I’m typing this review out 5 days after and my nails are chip-​free and still look amazing! I will definitely be back for some more pampering the next time I’m in New Orleans.

I really want to give this place more than just three stars. I’ve been twice and the staff is wonderful, the location is easy for me to get to, and the place itself is pretty.
But after two gel manicures… one of which I got last Tuesday, they just don’t hold up the way other places have for me in the past. I don’t know why this is, but as I type, the polish is completely off my left thumb and half-​gone on my right pointer finger. I don’t do anything that will cause this kind of wear-​and-​tear — I’m a pilates instructor and sometimes a writer.
I can’t speak to their other services and might go back after a while, but I think I’m on the hunt for another gel nail place. I know no manicure lasts forever, but I want mine to go closer to the ten-​day-​to-​two-​week mark than this.

I walked up on this place in pure oblivious to their services. I got a pedi, gel mani and blow out. The pedi was really thoughtful and the mani was very neat. The scenery is alot like a NY nail shop. Love that. I have been dying to get there for a while now to visit. The packages offered are really flexible and I will definitely be back.
