History
Established in 1993.
In 1993, Cole Pratt (1955 – 2008) established Cole Pratt Gallery at 3800 Magazine Street in New Orleans. For 15 years, Mr. Pratt sought out extraordinary, high quality artists from New Orleans, Mississippi, Alabama, and other states in the Gulf South. He set a precedent for welcoming visitors with warmth and enthusiasm. When Mr. Pratt died in 2008, Erika Olinger, the long-time gallery director, picked up where he left off. Ms. Olinger has led the gallery through multiple expansions to its current state – almost 3,000 square feet of viewing space. In December 2013, Cole Pratt Gallery celebrated its 20th anniversary, and the gallery continues to serve clients and visitors with a down-to-earth, personal appreciation of Southern art.
