Super cute place! Driven by it tons of times and finally stopped. The inside is way larger than I anticipated.
Food is good, Bloody was lackluster. It was spiced well just lacking flavour. Next time I will try a mimosa for brunch. Because you can’t eat without a drink, right?

I’ve tried here a few times because I heard /​read all these great reviews and I just work down the street. My overall thought is that it is way too expensive for lunch, does not have any healthy options (aside from 1 salad option) and won’t split checks. I’m so tired of places not splitting checks. It’s not the hard and it makes it much easier on your patrons. I did my time in the service industry for 5 years or so and we always split checks. update your POS system it is really isn’t that difficult.
Also, adding a lunch menu would also be nice.

Amazing food and service. The redneck egg rolls are to die for and the zinfandel, bacon and onion compote is genius. Everything was so fresh.

For starters we got their crawfish mac and cheese. This was delicious, but it felt a bit overpriced. For our main dish we got the Cowbell burgers. We came here specifically for the burgers, heard good things about them. Burgers were disappointing and overpriced. There was nothing exciting about them. Go to Company Burger instead, burgers there are always delicious.

Great food! First time I came here I got the adult grilled cheese which is to die for! And then last time I had to try the burger because that’s what they are known for. Very tasty! French fries were delicious! Yum yum yum! This place is so cute and they have outside seating. The staff is pretty great, too.

Everything here is amazing. Both the tacos and the burgers. The garlic sriracha style sauce they give you for your fries and burgers is so tasty, unlike anything I’ve had before. And save room for dessert! I still dream about the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry drizzle. I also love how the menu has a sense of humor… You’ll see what I mean ;) FYI: If you’re meeting up with friends here, they won’t seat you until your entire party has arrived.

They had really interesting options! The wait staff was super friendly and quick and incredibly well-​informed! We all loved our meals, especially those who tried the duck grilled cheese sandwich. I had the fish tacos, which were also very good. I was happy that the waiter was knowledgable about the menu as I am gluten free and have a limited diet. He knew practically all the ingredients and was willing to double check everything in the kitchen! Would definitely go again!

You can not leave here without having the mac and cheese. It is one of the best mac and cheese’s I have ever had and I have had my fair share. Also, I recommend the fish tacos.

I’m not one to complain at restaurants let alone as we are sitting here, but the kitchen lost our ticket so we are currently waiting over an hour for food. We were so excited to take our parents here and we are extremely disappointed. They gave us free Brussel sprouts to apologize but they have meat of some sort in them… and as a vegetarian I can’t partake. They also gave us 2 apple desserts which I appreciate, but it doesn’t make it ok. It didn’t help that the servers were almost ignoring us to the point that they didn’t notice that we didn’t have food until the entire restaurant had almost cleared out. 5 stars down to 3. It’s a shame.

Wanted to test out this place before our parents came to visit because we were told they would like it and the food would fit into their picky food choices.
It was so good! We sat at the bar and I got the Black Jesus which was a delicious rum and ginger beer cocktail that came with a mini «black Jesus baby» aka a black King cake baby.
For dinner, my boyfriend got the carnival burger special which was their «famous» burger with a hotdog and chili on top. He loved his heart attack on a plate. I got their harvest burger and it was amazing. They have these two sauces (a ketchup and an aioli) they serve things with that I basically would’ve just eaten a bowl of them as a soup.
The service was also wonderful. Nice and friendly wait staff and bartenders.
We will definitely be returning with and without our families again!

Tonight was my first time trying the place and I fell in love. Finding Cowbell wasn’t difficult at all. However I wished they had more parking available. When we got there, the place was pretty packed for a Tuesday night which was a good sign. There wasn’t a long wait to be seated. Our server tonight was David and he was really awesome! He was super to nice to us and took his time to go over the special items that weren’t on the menu. Since it was our first time, he was patient with us.
Now on to the food. We started off with the crawfish and andouille sausage poutine and it was the best I’ve ever had! It was ten times better than the poutine we had over in Disney World. Every bite melted in your mouth. I ordered the original Cowbell burger with a fried egg and bacon with a side of Mac and cheese. Hands down, this was the best burger I’ve ever had in NOLA. when you tell them to cook it medium rare, it come out medium rare. Not over cooked and not undercooked. The egg wasn’t runny at all. Although it was still a messy burger to eat. But that’s a sign it was an amazing burger. Which it was! My only issue with the burger that it was slightly a little saltier than expected. I think the burger was just a little over salted. The Mac and cheese was out of this world.
I definitely see myself coming back over and over again. I strongly recommend this place if you love burgers!

This review is a 3 only because of the owner’s attitude. Food was great, service was amazing!
We moved a few stools for the ladies in our party to rest on while we waited for a table at the direction of the hostess. The owner chastised us for doing this. When we said the hostess said to do it; his response was to say there was no way the hostess said that and we weren’t being truthful. He then took them away and 2 of the ladies had to stand. We were 8 people, most of us over 50 who don’t lie.
Even if there was a miscommunication which I admit is possible (I try to see all sides), he could have been more respectful and talked to us vice barking his opinion and letting the ladies stand.
We ended up with a $ 200+ bill for our table. Would do it again because of the quality of the food and the waiter. Wish I got the waiter’s name as he was awesome.
The owner is free to contact me if he would like to discuss offline but we were furious and not willing to talk that evening with him.

Gorgeous day to sit outside! The staff is super friendly and the food was great. One of the best veggie burgers I’ve had! I brought my pup and the staff went out of their way to bring her water and seat us in the shade. Highly recommend this place!

Used to come here for the burger. The past 2 times I’ve come the burger was small and over cooked, ordered medium came out beyond well done on both occasions. The service was mediocre at best; our server was nice enough but seemed rather apathetic, didn’t even ask how the food was.
Considering they sell they’re burger as «famous» this was a disappointing experience.

This is a great place to enjoy some great comfort food. I’ve had numerous items on the menu from burgers to their own version of chicken and waffles. I’ve downed a majority of their cocktails (Maui Wowi being my fave) and also sampled their sides (lobster Mac-​n-​cheese).
They receive 5 stars in my book with their laid back atmosphere and beautiful pieces of local art throughout the place.
I’ll be back for that rum boomba!

This place had me at its décor. Great outdoor seating area, kitschy decorated interior and bar. The staff was all very nice and my waiter could not have been more attentive or professional. Although I was tempted by many of the menu items most famously the Mac and cheese and the adult grilled cheese… I went basic and went for their homemade veggie burger. This thang wuz THICK… which didn’t stop me from finishing it. EEWWWUUFFF… I am still full the next day. But dam was it good… throw in the fresh cut fries and special home made ketchup and spicy aioli sauced and there you have it ladies and gentleman you have your 5 star experience.

After living in Carrollton for almost two years, I FINALLY made it to Cowbell for Saturday brunch. My friends were sweet enough to treat me for my birthday and I’m so glad they did! Though I skipped the oft recommended burger, I can safely say my meal met the hype.
We had a 15 minute wait and ordered drinks, which we were able to sip outdoors while waiting for a table. The host was sweet enough to bring water for our dog, which was so appreciated.
Our party had bloody marys, guava mimosas, white sangria and a drink called the Molly Ringwald, all which were delicious. The mimosa was a little small for the price though.
We ordered the figgy toast (loaded with figs, but needs one more croûton gratis), mac & cheese, which was so mild and tasty, the adult grilled cheese with asparagus, goat cheese and a tomato jam, and kale salad. OMG that kale salad… was aces. I cannot begin to express how badly I want the recipe for this salad. My friend also got the Arancini brunch special, which was topped with over easy eggs. Everything was flavorful and fresh.
My biggest «complaints» are that they don’t have Sunday brunch and I had hoped they would have more breakfast-​y carbs on the menu. I don’t eat eggs and would have loved a waffle, crêpe or french toast option! Seriously, I would be there errrrrrrrrrrrry Sunday for brunch! Please, Cowbell, hook your neighbors up!

I can’t believe I waited so long to come here! My husband and I were just driving around looking for new places to eat, and we stumbled upon this gem. The hostess seemed to have a little trouble figuring out where to seat us, but ultimately chose to seat us in the «downstairs» bar area. IT WAS SO HOT IN THERE! It was like they had no A/​C in that area, and the doors were all shut to the outside. I should’ve just told her to keep us outside on the patio because there was a breeze. They should really invest in a ceiling fan or two for that room. Later, when I ventured «upstairs» to find the restroom, I was greeted to a bigger, air-​conditioned dining room and a bigger bar. I would highly suggest choosing to sit upstairs if you get a choice.
Our server Marlene was also the bartender downstairs, and she mentioned she had worked there for several years. It was obvious because she really knew her stuff, and she was very good at her job. She was also friendly and talkative. She never let my tea go empty, which is huge in my book (I literally HATE when servers let my drinks get empty).
On to the drinks… my husband had the Blue Balls Drink with blueberry moonshine and a handmade margarita. He really liked both of them. All of their drinks seem carefully crafted. He had a softshell crab BLT, and I had a burger with mac and cheese. Everything was so good! Their softshell crab was perfectly cooked, and my burger was so juicy and delicious. The mac and cheese… oh my gosh, the mac and cheese. Out of this world! It’s a must try!
The prices are fairly high, so we won’t be coming all the time, but we will definitely be back.

It was a bit pricey for what it was. The server was very accommodating and the entire staff was checking on us as they walked by which Is great.
The shrimp quesadillas were good. Very flavorful and light.
The main event of course was the burger the Millie Mae which was their special of the day a sort of take on a Hawaiian burger. The fries were great. The home made ketchup was great. The fixings for the burger were great. The burger itself the texture and taste were underwhelming.
Everything seems to mask the underwhelming burger which should be the main event. Also $ 15.95 for a burger and we came here to avoid company burger. New Orleans needs a modest burger to believe in. I’m still searching for it.

Time for an update… my past few visits were not as stellar and I doubt I will return. I do love their kitchy décor and menu. But for some reason, their portions have become insultingly small. I will gladly pay more because the food is from a local farm and made fresh but I do not like to feel like a jackass when I receive my plate/​bill.
I brought 2 colleagues on my last visit and I was embarrassed. They werent impressed either especially since the server was so rude. For example, We ordered the new lobster mac n cheese as an app and for $ 15 they forgot the lobster. When we informed the server of the mishap, she said that was impossible because the cooks pre portion everything. After the macaroni was sitting on the table for a while, I told my guests to go ahead and eat it because it was getting cold. By the time a ramekin of chopped lobster was delivered and after we were made to feel like liars, the server clearly knew it took a while and set it down next to the empty bowl. So when the portion doesnt match with the prices/​quality (expensive quesadillas) and then the service is either non existent or rude, it pretty much sums up why I will choose the million other restaurants in the city next time.
