I believe I speak for many people with clunky cars, that also have that lovely shiny engine check light up on the dash, when I say that there is nothing like the sense of accomplishment that accompanies a spanking new brake tag. A lot of places I’ve been in the past make it seem like your car needs to undergo serious heart surgery. The workers raise your car up and hook it to all these tubes, then they frown and scribble away on a fat clipboard like mad. You sweat and almost cry as they pop that bright orange FAIL sticker to your windshield.
But not Danny’s. I am so afraid to write this because someone might catch on and then they’ll change the fact that they give the quickest, simplest inspection you’ve ever experienced. The owner is a friendly old curmudgeon (if that makes sense) and will regale you with some random story or two as he checks your breaks. And they check your lights, wipers, and for cracks in the windshield. Then you are gone baby gone, in seconds flat! You can drive away with huge relief and a pretty new sticker that’ll have you flying through any checkpoint until next year!
