I kept seeing people with these fish bowls and I really wanted one! The lady ahead of us in line warned us that they’re not strong but you just get it for the souvenir fish bowl. She was right. The boyfriend and I shared it and honestly, it tasted like just juice. But now I have a cool fish bowl souvenir from New Orleans so whatever! haha. It’s not a bad deal for $ 10. They have refills for $ 5 but I opted to get stronger drinks elsewhere. The staff is super nice and complimented me on my Halloween costume which was cool. Bottom line: come here for the souvenir, but if you want a strong drink, go elsewhere.

Love the fish bowl for $ 10! Lines are always confusing here when it’s crowded with folks merging in line from both sides. It’s worth the wait but not worth fighting over who cut in line. The folks serving do their best to accomodate customers.

How can I not rave about this hole in the wall? With quick and easy $ 1 cherry bombs (which amount to maraschino cherries soaked in everclear, perhaps mixed with a touch of the cherry juice) it does the trick and is delicious. Dare I say it’s the best drink in New Orleans?

Hmm… When you’re in the French Quarters the last thing you’ll ever think of carrying around is a Fish Bowl, right? This little stand is awesome, just walking down the streets of the French Quarters and there’s drinks everywhere! Well you can’t go wrong making a stop at Fais Deaux Deaux, if you got a big group of friends order the Large Fish Bowl, it will quench the thirst for everyone, but hey if you’re drinking alone they got the small fish bowl — good for 1 –2 people to share.

Don’t let the small booth sized hole-​in-​the-​wall (literally) fool you. You will get your fix here! Cheap beer on tap and best of all — FISHBOWLS. Purchase a fishbowl, get whatever you want in it (we did Hurricanes OF COURSE), keep it and come back — refills for $ 2. Um, yeah that sounds about right! Just don’t get too wasted and lose your fishbowl!
