VERY VERY PLEASED WITH OUR EXPERIENCE!!! My husband and I did the 1 hour Big Easy Aerial Tour for my 27^th birthday. The drive there it was a bit confusing finding parking. We called the number that was on our ticket print out and they were very helpful. When we arrived we signed a waiver, an our pilot met us and told us he was getting the flight ready. He offered us a tour of the facility, to show us where the restrooms were, etc. They have free water and coffee in the offices. Parking is free. We parked next to the terminal and walked right next door to the building. They don’t have a sign on the door, but we were thankful for their help in finding the place! We took pictures by the plane before we went in. I had requested that if possible to let my husband fly the plane, and he flew almost the whole way! Our pilot Jose Matus V. was very respectful and kind. He was very knowledgable and knew a lot about the city. We flew over different areas and he made sure to point it out to us, and stop so we can take pictures. My husband had a great time flying the plane with Jose. I appreciate him allowing my husband to experience that. It was truly an unforgettable experience. I recommend anyone from New Orleans, or just visiting to fly with Flight Academy New Orleans! Also, ask for Jose to be your pilot! Thank you to the staff of Flight Academy New Orleans, and Jose for making this a wonderful experience! Well worth the money!

Our experience here was amazing! We surprised our dad, a plane enthusiast, with a flight tour of new orleans. He was so excited and absolutely loved it. The tour was amazing and being in a small 4 seater plan was an awesome experience. Seeing the city of Nola from such a unique point of view really puts things in perspective! Our pilot was Wade and he was amazing! He is very funny and knowledgable. The customer service is amazing here as well. I definitely recommend the flight tours and this company in general! We could not have had a better experience, it was perfect!

Our flight was amazing!. Our pilot Corey was very knowledgable and explained everything to us. From landmarks, to background of the city, to things about the plane, he was very informative. The sights from up above were outstanding! I would totally do this again! Thanks Corey for a great flight!

Did the 30 minute tour of the city. Great experience! Definitely worth the money. Great way to get a new perspective on the city and your life as well as do something romantic. Nothing like seeing your tiny toy looking house from thousands of miles up to make you rethink the little problems you are worried about day to day.

This was by far the best experience ever! The pilot Wade was soooo nice and cool and made the tour awesome. The sights and views were outstanding and it was definitely an awesome deal! Definitely something every tourist and local should do!

First off, if you’re thinking about doing this but are scared, just do it! I booked the tour as part of my boyfriends birthday weekend getaway and it was a surprise for him. He loved it! The weeks leading up to the flight were making me want to back out because I don’t really care for flying, but this was the best flight I’ve ever taken. The staff and our pilot were wonderful. We got there a little early and they let us walk through the hangar and check out the planes parked inside. They had maybe 10 – 15 planes of all sizes inside, it was neat to see. Our pilots name was Wade, I would recommend booking a tour with him and if we ever do this again I hope he is still there. He has been a pilot since the 1990’s and has had a commercial license since 2001, he’s really nice and knowledgable. We had champagne and chocolates inside the plane and it was an overall wonderful experience. You are allowed to take pictures and Wade offered to take pictures for us at the end also, you know everyone loves pictures! The only bad thing is that it was a little overcast but we still had a great time.

I went and did the orientation flight lesson today and it was great! Good staff and trainer, friendly and helpful. I hope to do my private pilot training here.

Everything was great. The pilot was very knowledgeable and fun. I would definitely do this again.

I HIGHLY recommend this group. I took my wife on an anniversary flight over New Orleans and we had a blast. She sat in the front seat of the 3-​seater plane, and it was a smooth yet exhilarating experience. The views of the city were stunning. The pilot was super knowledgeable and friendly and matched just the right amount of humor with assurance. They even offered us some champagne to wish us a happy anniversary!

Everyone should do this atleast once in their life. It was so awesome to see everything. The pilot was respectful of how he flew. He asked us in the begginng if either one of us have a sensitive stomach. Learned some really cool things about the the city of new orleans. I got my offer from Groupon

I purchased the Adventurer Discovery flight for my husband’s 50^th birthday. The staff and instructor were awesome. Customer service was great and the experience is unforgettable. Patrick was my husband’s instructor and he gave him rave reviews. Plus… we’re originally from WI and Patrick is a Packers fan! Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift. Thanks for making a great memory.
I highly recommend this business if you’re thinking about flying lessons, or just want to take a scenic flight around New Orleans. Wonderful experience.

What a great day to take our Big Easy aerial tour!
My boyfriend and I received the 30 minute tour as a gift from my parents. Since the weather was bad the Sunday we were supposed to take the tour, it was rescheduled to yesterday, March 2^nd. The staff was friendly from the beginning and even gave us a nice bag for our champagne, plastic glasses and chocolate we added for the tour. Our pilot was David «Krafty» Kraftchak, who was very knowledgeable. We told him that it would be really neat to see some of the parades, if we could, while we were in the air. It was a really great because David flew us RIGHT over St. Charles and we even saw some floats and people.
We will definitely be doing this again soon but we want to do a longer tour. ALSO, I found out that it’s customary to tip your pilot. We did 20%. He was pretty amazing and even took some photos of us with the plane after!

For my sons 30^th birthday we gave him the evening aerial tour of New Orleans and I couldn’t help but ride along :). Incredible experience from start to finish. David, our pilot, was talented and fun! He even serenaded us at one point (and he’s a Navy entertainer so it was GOOD!)
This was a great experience and the highlight of our trip to New Orleans! The lights were beautiful, the experience incredible. Memory of a lifetime!!!

Before I bought a Big Easy Aerial Tour for Two from Amazon Local, I checked this Unilocal page. The reviews were all so great, I thought that Flight Academy either provided amazing experiences or had written a bunch of fake reviews. Well, after flying around the city with an experienced pilot who was also a great tour guide, I realized that all of these reviews are legit.
I could not have been happier with the deal and probably would have paid full price for the experience. If you have an opportunity, take a tour!

This was an excellent experience from start to finish. We walked in the door and instantly felt welcomed. I had been pondering a birthday gift for my boyfriend and stumbled upon a Groupon for an aerial tour of New Orleans. I knew right away this would be a perfect birthday gift because he would be able to take pictures for his portfolio and you can only have so many watches.
Anyway, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They asked if there was anything specific we wanted to see or take pictures of. The flight is only 30 minutes so it’s important to have a plan.
The plane was comfortable and take off was smooth as well as the landing. I felt as though I was floating and the only thought that came to my mind was that this is completely unnatural to be floating in the air likes this. The feeling subsided and enjoyed the views from the plane. The pilot, who has 16 years experience flying, pointed out different things like the newly built levee and some history of the river. He pointed out city park, the zoo and Tulane and Loyola. Everything looks so different in from the air. The Bayou Classic festivities were going on at the dome and I could barely see them. We had to fly higher than normal due to the restrictions over the dome for the event.
30 minutes was a perfect amount of flight time for us. I almost wished I had booked a night flight. I think the city lights would have been absolutely amazing! This will likely be something that would bring me back along with the super staff!
Even if you don’t do the Groupon, I highly recommend that if you’re looking for a unique gift or a way to propose, this is the way to go. They have many different packages you can choose from.

My husband and I took the Big Easy Aerial Tour and it was AMAZING! Our pilot was great and pointed out so many different things to us such as the old six flags, the superdome, graveyards, etc. The flight was smooth and the landing was the smoothest I have ever had. We would defiantly recommend this tour to our friends and families.

I paid for my girlfriend and I to go on the 45 min aerial tour for her birthday. I’ve been living in the areas around New Orleans my whole life and just moved into the city, and she just moved here a few years ago. It was quite an experience to see the city from a different view. There are so many things to see that you pass by every day and don’t even know are there. I highly recommend it and will probably end up going again one day.
It’s amazing. You don’t realize how much swamp land there is in and around New Orleans until you’ve seen it from the sky.
Tip: I suggest making a list of places and sights to look for or telling the pilot about any points of interest you’d like to focus on. Sometimes, however, you don’t know what would be really interesting to see until you’ve been up at least once.

Great experience! I did a introductory flight with a friend. We asked if we can do a city tour of New Orleans, while we are taking our introductory flight. It was incredible! Our pilot really gave us the opportunity to steer the plane and fly around the city. Definitely thinking of getting my pilot’s license now.

Had a great flight yesterday with Matt! This is an amazing thing to do! I grew up on the Westbank and knew where we flew over! We saw a float in Lee Circle and got some great arial pics of the city! LOVED it!

I had a wonderful experience on my trip to New Orleans when I picked up the Groupon for a 30 minute aerial tour of the city in a small plane. Rita, our pilot, was so knowledgeable and awesome. Definitely an unforgettable, once in a lifetime event!
