Jefferson Inn & Suites

My husband and I stayed here last month on a weekend trip to NOLA and for the price, this place was perfect! Clean, big space, comfy beds. The lobby was nice, the staff was friendly, we enjoyed the waffles for breakfast, and it’s not too far from downtown (we took Über also). The parking area is small and finding the entrance was a tad confusing, but we would most definitely stay here again.

When you pull up, you might be disappointed. The outside looks shabby, there is no other way to put it. The lobby is in a metal sided warehouse type building.
But looks are deceiving. The lobby is lovely. The staff could not be more helpful and enthusiastic. And our room was great. Recently remodeled, CLEAN (this is the most important thing for me), comfortable, nice soft bed. We were impressed. Great deal, nice room. Good way to enjoy. N. Orleans on a budget. Would stay again.

It was clean but we saw two small cockroaches. Although it’s recently remodeled, the remodel is inconsistent in quality. Granite & raised bowl sink in bathroom, but underneath sink looked like s slab of painted rough plywood & wasn’t caulked at the seams. Tub, tile & fixtures didn’t look new & rubber caulking had yellowed.
This hotel tries hard but doesn’t quite make it.

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for one night, during a road trip. The hotel was a good distance from the downtown area, which I liked, and not too hard to find (although we did almost miss the entrance). Upon first glance it looked kind of sketchy though (when we pulled into the lot my boyfriend actually asked me if I could have picked a more shady place)!
But when we walked into the front lobby, which looked like a big warehouse, it was SO nicely decorated! That gave me hope for our room… until we drove around the corner and saw the outdated looking brick buildings and got nervous again. But alas, the rooms were amazing too! I guess the interiors have been recently redone. The exterior could use some updating, but hey, not that important. The only complaint I have is how small/​narrow the back parking area was. We drive a big pickup truck, so it was quite snug. Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely stay here again next time we are in town!

Typically I am disappointed when it comes to hotel rooms. I know, that this hotel is not a 5 star but the staff and the room far exceeded what I was expecting for the money. First is that I was really ok with the location. It was a $ 18 UBER ride to the Bourbon Street. I found that the room was immaculate and very nice. The bed was amazing. I would recommend it for someone on a budget like myself. I would come stay here again.

The location was pretty convenient and the area isn’t as sketchy as it first appears to be, BUT I stayed at a time when the rooms were all filed with tourists and not regulars.
The room smelled of cigarette smoke and The Windows couldn’t be opened and had bars on them so we had to Fabreeze the heck out of them. We were afraid to touch anything so we went to Wal-​Mart and got cleaning supplies to wipe down all of the surfaces including the sinks and shower. The furniture was really dusty and wiping everything helped with the smell. We got blankets to put on the bed because the sheets didn’t look clean. Neither the sheets not towels were white. Our feet never touched the floor (we sprayed the carpet to help the smell) and we kept the room FREEZING and dark because roaches were everywhere outside. I know it’s the south, but it was awful! I couldn’t have tried to eat in the room if I wanted to.
Breakfast was a basic continental breakfast. Although they could have left the snack cakes in their original package. I can’t say much though because I was only able to eat the fruit provided for health reasons, but fresh fruit is always a plus!
The staff was super friendly! I loved them. They were extremely helpful and friendly. I feel confident that they will continue to strive to improve their establishment. The bathroom was recently remodeled and really nice and the room was very big. You get what you pay for and it was a last resort. Is stay there again if I had to… maybe.
