Specialties
This colorful and eclectic B&B is in a real neighborhood. The most beautiful street in New Orleans links the French Quarter with the New Orleans Museum of Art. We’re right in the middle of it all. Don’t forget to use our mobile check-in offer!
Every room is a different color. Spacious two-room suites with 12-foot ceilings, private bath and private balconies. Furnished with a combination of antiques and contemporary touches. There is original artwork everywhere.
We go to the farmers market, bakeries, and restaurants to find the best local delicacies to serve for breakfast. Buttermilk drops, crawfish pie, satsuma marmalade. Sometimes we have ice cream for breakfast because there aren’t any rules in New Orleans.
Complimentary bicycles for guests. Free wi-fi, cable, flat screen TV. Private balconies and gardens in the rear. Secure off-street parking if desired.
History
Established in 2012.
We’ve lived in New Orleans since 2010. We love the city and where we live. The inn was built in 1883 as a two-family house. We’ve restored most of the original fixtures and kept the details. The place has its own personality, full of quirks and charm. It isn’t your grandmother’s B&B. We’ve made it a place that is full of surprises.
We have replanted the gardens in back with blue hydrangea and fruit trees. The fountain is original as are the oleander and pecan trees.
Tour buses stop on our block because of all the history that has taken place on our block. Our house is one of the things they talk about. Esplanade Avenue is called the «Creole Millionaire Row.» There really isn’t another street like it in New Orleans.

We are proud to be innkeepers and to be able to share our love of New Orleans with guests. I’m from Connecticut and Melanie is from Hamburg, Germany, very different places from the city we now call home.
