Pigment Custom Tattooing & Piercing

Went here to get my second piercing on both ears about two months ago. Everything went well until about two weeks ago when one of my ears began hurting and I noticed an awful infection. Needless to say, I needed to take that earring out. Now, the other ear has been hurting, but no infection. $ 80 down the drain as I have now taken both earrings out and let the holes close up.

Eric was extremely calm, cool, & collected which helped my piercing experience be more than pleasurable. would recommend to anyone who needs an ear piercing!

I went in on a whim to get my tragus repierced. I’ve had a lot of piercings before and Eric was by far the fastest piercer I’ve ever had. He was very professional and really sweet! I’m totally coming back to get my conch done.

This is my first and probably only Unilocal review ever but my experience here was so weird I felt like I should share it.
I went in today with a friend so she could get a couple of ear piercings, and the piercer was so unprofessional. He was very rude and condescending to us. I asked him about some other piercings I have, asked about what sort of jewelry they carried as I had been having problems with my own, and he talked to me like I was an idiot. I told him my nipple piercings had been acting up and asked his opinion and acted like I was insane. I went to a professional piercer to get them done, I didn’t pierce my own nipples in the basement of my home, but the way he spoke to me one would assume that’s what he thought. He kept asking «so your boobs are acting up?» he wasn’t even professional enough to use appropriate terminology. He made us feel so uncomfortable and out of place in the shop, and after speaking to a girl that works across the street who got tattooed there, apparently my friend and I are not the only ones who have had that experience.
I was scoping this place out for a tattoo I’m getting next month, but honestly I won’t be getting it done at Pigment. It feels petty to write about it on the internet, but this dude was so weird and we couldn’t wait to leave. My friend’s ear piercings turned out fine, and I’m sure there are dozens of other places she can check out next time that won’t act so gross.

I went here to get my nipples pierced. Eric was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. I looked at many reviews of him (which were all good) and saw that he’s been piercing for 10 years, so I trusted that he knew what he was doing. I cleaned my piercing according to the instructions and was very careful because I was afraid of infection. I went back home for Christmas break (about two weeks after the piercing) and noticed my piercing was rejecting. I went to see a piercer back home (a well reviewed one), and he looked shocked when he saw my piercing. He said the person who pierced me pierced one nipple good and the other one horrible. He continued to tell me that the piercer put a ring that was way too small for me, which could have also prevented rejection. After I told him that Eric has been piercing for ten years, he told me he could have been just having a bad day. Fortunately, I have healed fine but this experience has made me not want to get them repierced.

I went April 10^th and got a nose piercing which was my first piercing and Eric did a great job I’ll be going there again!

Excellent! Brought my 12 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. Eric, the piercer, was phenomenal. He took his time with us never rushing. Made sure Amelia was comfortable and even made her laugh. He was very professional and hygienic with his tools.
He also fixed an old piercing on my wife’s ear. He lined it up perfectly.
The whole place was great! Makes me want to go get a tattoo.

Got my nipples pierced by Eric recently. He was so fast, and it wasn’t nearly as painful as I initially thought! Made me feel super comfortable. Now I’m obsessed, and they are healing beautifully!

I went in with an amazingly hard request and my boy Tony killed it. Very professional and not worried about time! This man has talent that proves itself. Thank you so much.

Went in to check this place out and see if they could give me a tattoo. The first bad sign was they told me «we do just about anything» even though I wanted a specific style, and then proceeded to tell me about how they would never make any money if they only specialized in certain styles. Worst of all they had this ogre of a woman at the front being rude and hostile and oozing stupid, trashy, judgmental vibes– also her tattoos were pretty terrible (not a good sign). I was 100% serious about possibly getting a tattoo when I went in, but after 5 minutes of interaction with her it was clear that 1) they were unwilling to try to give me what I wanted and 2) the experience at their shop would be unpleasant regardless. Don’t waste your time going there!

My wife and I got our first tattoos here on a whim. So glad we chose to come here! Tony made us feel very comfortable and was very careful with keeping the area sterile. The tattoos cane out great!

Got my first tattoo here yesterday. Justin was great. He made me feel comfortable and he took his time and did a great job. Environment was cleaned and the price he quoted me was great. When I’m back in the NO I will definitely come back to get another.

The girl piercer is the shit! I had a bad time at electric lady land but the people at pigment were amazing and my septum piercing didn’t even hurt! ⁵⁄₅ would pierce again

I walked in after having a horrible experience at hell or high water. the man listened to everything I wanted and made sure I was really ok with the placement of my tattoo. he let me sit with him so I could see him make the stencil and helped me go through multiple size options. he even told me what size thickness I should expect the lettering to be and was really kind to me and my friends. I 100% recommend this place. it’s very clean and the people are friendly. I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo

This place is great! Went in for their Friday the 13^th special. They were very busy (understandably), so the wait was pretty long. BUT the flash they had to choose from for the special was great. I got an anatomical heart with the roman numerals XIII. Fun little piece of flash just for the hell of it. My artist’s name was Jeffrey. We ended up having an awesome conversation. I will definitely be back here for my next traditional-​style tattoo.

Awesome awesome awesome. My husband and I decided to pop in randomly for an anniversary tattoo. We just happened to be in the area and saw this shop while walking down the street.
The guys in there were awesome. While the tattoos we wanted were simple and nothing extravagant or particularly artistic, Keel and Justin treated the designs like they were masterpieces.
My husband and I could not be happier with our tattoos. Our only regret is that we won’t be able to come back for more tattoos since we live in New Mexico.

I made an appt here with their artist David Steelman. I told him kind of what I had in mind for a forearm piece. He does traditional work and I asked him to put his spin on my idea. When I got there for my appt… .the drawing he showed me was better than I could have imagined! !!! Then, he blew me away with the actual tattoo! !!! It turned out so beautiful I get compliments EVERY day!!! I’m sure to tell these people where to go and who to ask for if they pass thru NOLA!!! I will go here time and again for work any time I’m near! !

A group of us was on vacation and wanted to get some ink. We tried a few other places and got unfriendly rushed responses. We called Pigment and they were super friendly and accommodating!
My sister was a first timer and wanted something super intricate. The first artist nicely told her what she wanted he couldn’t do. I appreciated him being honest instead of making what she wanted look bad. Another artist came to chat with her and he felt confident he could take on what she wanted. He took his time and it turned out fantastic.
All of us ended up with three different artists and they all did great work. We worked with Keel and Cornbread (can’t remember the third guys name).

My friend recently got her nose pierced at Pigment. What a great experience! They were so nice. The shop is clean and the staff was amazing. It only took a few minutes but the customer service as well as the actual piercing process was really efficient. If you are looking for a place in the area for a tattoo or piercing, you really should check this place out!
