Take 5 Oil Change

The guy didn’t even wanna do his job, as soon as we pulled up. He said something about a compressor being broke and we had to go to another location, before we even said what we were there for.

I have been going to this specific Take 5 Oil change branch for over 2 years and have had only consistent professional and efficient service. Recently, I went with my 1 year old. They were quick, polite, and I was never hassled about any up charging. If I am correct, the location is under new management and I think it s worth a stop.

Incomplete grade, since I actually left after pulling into the garage. I read the one other review before heading over, but figured it was probably a fluke. The previous reviewer said that one he got in with his hood popped, the attendant tried to upsell him on the synthetics. Once he declined that, he mentioned that they were actually out of the standard options. That was fresh on my mind as I pulled in. Well, I’ll give you one guess what happened once my hood was popped. Turns out they only had the high end synthetic in stock! If I hadn’t read the previous review, I probably would have just done it. Knowing that this appears to be a pattern — yeah, no thanks.

Typical Oil Change Scam
Lots of oil change options in the area and decided to give this business a chance.
Upon arrive, I was the only car at the shop. I immediately told the attendant when I pulled up that I wanted a basic conventional oil change. He directed me to stay in the car and pull forward.
After my hood was popped, engine off, and techs working on my car, he tried to upsell me on the «GTX High mileage» which is expected, and I declined. Then he informed me that they were out of conventional oil and that I would have to get the «GTX». I asked while he hadn’t told me before and he said it was «company policy». I was very aggravated by this point and told him whatever, just get it done. He also refused my first coupon and said it was only for conventional oil and kept telling me to go to other locations way across town.
5 minutes later, he confronted me and said I needed to add an oil leak stopping fluid and he could make me a deal and charge me for it, while not charging me for the extra quart of oil needed. At this point I was amazed at how horrible this operation was and told him no thanks again.
I have an honest fear that mechanical service they provided on my car parallels the customer service I received.
Finally upon departing, I confronted the attendant and told him they needed to get their stuff together and until then, they won’t get my business or anyone else’s that I know. His response was that they had a busy week.
I hope they clean up their act before others continue to have this experience.
