We specialize in a nanny like service for your pets. Our stewards offer the attention and care to your pets that you would give them if you were there at home. Everything from walking to grooming to sitting to transportation. No request is to small or to big for your pup. From biggest of dogs to smallest of pups we are ready to assist your pet with all of their needs.

Business Owner

Our founder, Channing Blakemoore has had a passion and love for animals since childhood. This was discovered with his first pet, Duchess. She of coarse was the prettiest dachshund he had ever seen. Though she is no longer with us, his passion continues today.

Channing graduated, cum laude, from Tulane University with a BA in digital design. During college, and after graduation, he was a visuals manager for Macy’s, Inc. During the summer of 2010, he began to apprentice with a master groomer to learn a new trade. Two years later with the support of friends and family, Channing formed The Blakemoore Bark, LLC. As the company grows, he is guided by this mantra: «When tails are wagging, paws matter.»

I am very please with Blakemoore Bark, you always feel like your dogs is so taking care of, because when I pick my girls up they don’t want to leave! That is a very good sign for me. Channing is very sweet and gentle with the dogs. Your dog is his very first priority!!! The staff does above and beyond what you and your dog would expect!!! Thank you again!!!

Channing, this is a great place to come and relax from a long day at the office. I got groomed there and had a chance to play with some old friends along the way. My daddy was at work all day and I went to get groomed and pampered. So all you fellow dogs out there and cats remember to tell your parents to send you to The Blakemoore Bark where there is no cares
to worry about.

Channing is simply amazing. For years we tried to find the perfect grooming and walking service for our shitzu/​poodle mix Lillie. Channing and his team far exceeds the competition and Lillie loves him to pieces. He is worth every penny and the wait! Love love love!

Our Pomeranian Baby Boo has never look so good. Channing is not just your average groomer. He becomes an extended family member with your animal. You can tell how much he loves his job and how much passion is behind «The Artist»
I need to mention also that the facility was very clean. Great environment where you feel safe leaving your dog for a few hours.
We tried several groomers in the New Orleans area, but The Blakemoore Bark without a doubt ranks the best!

After failed attempts to find the perfect groomer for my dog MAX, I have found the most professional stylist. He is very professional, caters specifically your needs and your schedule. Allows for great flexibility. Went above and beyond for the job that needed to be done for Max! I will deal with no one else but him!

Barbarella was getting attitudinal with her mohawk so we decide to switch it up. Asking for Ewok/​Teddy Bear might not work with the usual groomer, but Channing new what was what right away– better by far, out of the ordinary even extraordinary, always!

Channing has been grooming our dogs for two years. Having two standard poodles we want to be sure the grooming is done well — Channing does an amazing job. He genuinely cares about the quality of his work and the comfort of the dogs. He’s always willing to work around my erratic work schedule and even brought my dog home to me when I couldn’t get back to pick her up on one occasion. Service like that is hard to beat.

Channing & Co. do a wonderful job of caring for my golden retriever, Lily, when I’m not around, — walking, brushing, and even occasionally pet-​sitting her or bringing her home from day care. They give her all the attention she has come to expect from being so ridiculously spoiled. When Channing drives by in his car and we’re out walking, Lily is beyond excited to see him! She is looking very well groomed these days, too. Thanks for everything.

The Blakemoore Bark is amazing!
I was visiting New Orleans with my pup and long story short, the stay extended and then extended again. We needed a lot of help, often last minute, and Channing, the owner of Blakemoore Bark, was and is always there for us. This is not your everyday doggie daycare company. They cater to your needs and customize the daycare experience of your pet. They shuttled our dog to and from a great daycare they recommended for us, the Pet Care Center on Diamond Street. The great part about this daycare center is that Channing is there for most of the day and does a lot of his grooming appointments at that location. He always had an eye on our boy. It felt like the entire staff was taking care of one of their own. I got picture updates all day long and peace of mind in general that he was having such a great time. I can’t recommend The Blakemoore Bark enough.

Channing is a dog owners dream!!! My shih tzu, Miley, ADORES him and I know this because as soon as she sees him, she gets overly excited to see him again :)
Channing has been grooming Miley for roughly a year now and he is an amazing groomer. He is very detailed oriented, thorough and truly cares. He always checks with me before and after for my thoughts, although I never have anything to say except «do what you did last time» and «she looks great». Miley cannot be kenneled, so they work with me to have her hang in day care when she is not physically being groomed. Not to mention, he is also extremely reasonably priced!
Sadly, my previous dog walker/​sitter moved out of town and I was left extremely worried with what to do with Miley when I travel (especially since she cannot be in a kennel). Channing let me know that he does dog sitting too. Since Miley is pretty low maintenance and gets along so well with his dog, Margot, he has now watched Miley in his home while I am on vacation (twice). Any dog lover knows, that leaving town can be extremely stressful because you worry about your baby. When Miley is with Channing, I do not worry one bit!!! Channing constantly checks in with me sending me pictures and updates. Again, for Miley to get to hang in a comfortable home with people and another dog, his sitting services are extremely reasonably priced as well!
He is amazing. I could go on and on about all the little personal touches he has done, such as reminding me about her yearly shots being due to helping drop her off at my house, but this review would be WAY too long if I listed them all. Just know, the five stars that I gave on this review doesn’t do Channing and Blakemoore Bark justice (I wish I could give 10 stars)!

Blakemoore Bark and Channing take such great care of my two dogs Rocky and Jean Luc! They walk them every day, have pet sat for us several times, and groom them to perfection! I don’t know what we would do without Channing! Highly recommend for any of the services Blakemoore Bark offers.
