Drag Queen Brunch! This is the second time we came here, the first time we had just the food so we decided to come back because it was AMAZING! Then we got to see the Drag Queen brunch, this was the best brunch I ever went to in my entire life. TAKE an UBER LOL because those bottomless mimosas leave you with the buzz you came to New Orleans for!
Great Music, Great Staff, Amazing Décor! Just what I needed!

We booked a reservation for Drag Brunch approximately 3 months in advance for a large bachelorette party. We were sat quickly upon arriving for our reservation. We all ordered bottomless mimosas. They really keep your glass full the entire time. Our food arrived at the perfect time for us to eat and then have our full attention on the show that followed. The food was great and our server was awesome. The show was pure perfection! The bachelorette got lots of attention and we had so much fun. We were celebrating in NOLA for 4 days and everyone in our large party agreed that this was the best activity we did! Must go see!

The Country Club is a great place to eat and get entertained. My wife and i had a really good experience i say try it!

This place is great! Great mimosas! Great drag shows! The drag queens walk around using a mic to crack jokes, engage their customers, a to lip sing to songs. And their dance moves are totally on point. I went there for brunch for my friends bachelorette party and it was one of the best places to attend brunch if you’re among a wedding party like we were. After brunch, there is pool and outside bar outside that you may go out too to chill. This place has a great set up.

I had such a great afternoon here. I arrive at 11 on a Sunday and it was easy to find parking along the street. I paid $ 20 to hangout by the pool. The outside pool area felt like you were hanging out with close friends at a pool party. It’s pretty trendy. The food is ok. I like that they have a nice variety from fresh salads to cheese fries. By the time I left at 2:00 all of the chairs were taken so I recommend getting there early.

Great food and atmosphere. Service could have been better. Recommended by the St James Hotel, good call

Drag queen brunch… need I say more? Go for the queens and $ 10 bottomless mimosas and stay for the food. The drag queens were super friendly and talk to everyone after the show. the host was super lively and fun! Bring cash!!! The host will give you change in ones for tipping the ladies if you have only larger bills or there is an ATM if you are plastic only.
MAKE A RESERVATION!!! Also, food was pretty good (I tried crawfish for the first time)… But hell, anything tastes good after the 4^th mimosa
I didn’t see the pool but apparently there is one. I will for sure be back next time I’m in NOLA!

I’ve hesitated to write this review for awhile because I wanted the initial nostalgia of the clothing-​optional days of the Country Club to wear off a bit. This review is in regards to everything post-​policy change.
While I still enjoy hanging by the pool, I’ve really come to enjoy chilling inside at the bar. The pool can be quite crowded at peak hours, but if you’re able to find a seat at the bar to post-​up, the vibe is always chill and the people watching is great. The bartenders are friendly and efficient and the drink prices are fair. Some nights are dedicated to TV watching and the multiple big screen TVs are good for that.
The food is also above average. I’ve dined in the dining room and snacked at the bar and have always enjoyed what I ordered. My favorite are the boudin balls. Your best bet, however, is to catch one of the afternoons that they’re grilling burgers out back to enjoy a big plate of food poolside.
As long as the staff stays friendly and familiar, then I think the Country Club will maintain its local feel despite new policies that attract a wider net of folks. I always meet a new friendly person when I’m there and I hope it stays that way!

The Country Club Nola is not what you would think of it by its name, other than it offers a killer salt water heated and cooled pool, and tons of great food and cocktails. Weekends are packed and Sunday brunch is one of the best things I’ve experienced in the world, although that might have been influenced by the $ 10 bottomless mimosas. The crowd is eclectic and accepting of everyone, which is pretty reflective of New Orleans and the neighborhood it resides in. The prices can be a little steep and everyone I know has been known to rack up a big tab here, but its well worth the experience especially on a beautiful day. The staff is prompt and the food and cocktails and generous sized and come quickly.
Do yourself a favor when you are in Nola and grab a bite to eat in your swim trucks and slip out to the back pool for some sun. The music in the back is always perfect and the landscaping is gorgeous and tropical. I find myself saying every cold Sunday brunch in Minneapolis, «This is nice and all, but I wish I was at the Country Club.»

Delicious food and good service. We went with a big party for brunch and I ordered boudin fried balls and they have this special german sausage sandwich. Soooo yummy, definitely one of my favorite spot in the Bywater area.

Disappointed to have to write this having come here two times before without any issues, but the third time was definitely not a charm. Came in tonight (Friday) around 9 p.m. to a dead bar, so one would expect pretty decent service. Nope.
The bartender, a balding, short, sullen guy with glasses who could NOT be bothered to smile for the life of him, took our order with zero personality and the charm of a robot. Fine, whatever, we weren’t here to hang out with him. We figured we’d at least enjoy our food, but no.
The boudin balls were insanely salty and had no other seasoning, even though we had them a few weeks before and they were spicy and well-​balanced. Dour bartender came over and said «all the food is awesome, right?» and I said the Napoleon was great but the boudin was too salty. His response was to shrug his shoulders and say «I’ve worked here five years and always thought it was too salty.» I said we had been there a few weeks before and not found them so offensively salty and he again shrugged and said «we have a new chef, so maybe it’s him.»
Neither of these responses were helpful, and he never asked us if we wanted anything else. Instead, he ignored us the rest of the meal and focused on his own dinner he was eating at the bar. When he finally brought us the check, the boudin was still on there, despite the three of us each taking a small bite and leaving 80% of the dish untouched, and the whole discussion in which he basically said the dish sucked. It’s only $ 9, so I don’t really understand why he’d leave it on given he a) asked about the food and what we thought of it b) agreed the dish was bad c) saw that we didn’t eat it.
We live nearby and will likely still go back for drag queen brunch and for late night food, but honestly if that guy were working the bar again I’d just turn around and go to Markey’s for lower-​brow food but infinitely better service.

Oh my oh my, I LOVE this place! I came to Nola for the first time in February and I spent a lot of time here. We were staying across the street at an Airbnb which was great because we could drink and just walk home!
The food is amazing, drinks are great, and there is a pool and jacuzzi! You have to pay to use the pool area but I think it’s worth it, especially if there’s nice weather. We stayed in the pool/​jacuzzi area til 1AM just drinking and eating. It was so enjoyable.
The staff here is incredibly friendly. It’s a warm and outgoing environment overall. We decided to come here for brunch on our last day in town and the food was SO good… loved the chilaquiles! I wish we had a place like this in Nashville, it feels tropical and has such relaxing vibes. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town!

This review is for Saturday morning brunch and drag show. My friend is a local to New Orleans and he knew just where to take me for a really unique and fun brunch experience. We each had an entrée, an order of unlimited mimosas, and were seated for the show. All in all, I think the service lasts for about 2 hours in total.
First of all, let me say that the decoration of this restaurant is really great. It’s located in the heart of Bywater and the building is a historical house with a beautiful layout porch that’s really picturesque. We went in the middle of winter on an unseasonably cold weekend, so we didn’t check out the pool area that I hear is really fun.
Service was amazing. I loved my entrée of crab cakes eggs benedict which was on the specials menu. I have to say this unlimited drinks experience was the best I’ve ever had. Not a minute went by with an empty glass of mimosas because the servers were so attentive to keeping us happy. For $ 15 and a true unlimited service. what a deal!
The show was so fun and the singers really spent time interacting with the guests by walking up and down each aisle and visiting tables. I particularly loved the Madonna tribute on my visit. I belive the brunch shows happen every other Saturday so you’ll have to plan in advance.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for a special New Orleans experience!

More cities need a place like this. I’m talking about the outdoor heated pool and the hot tub. They make for a very nice way to spend a few hours of a chilly winter’s night. There’s also an outdoor fire pit, which might be more fun when it’s a little bit warmer.
If it’s your birthday, you might get a free pass to the pool (otherwise it’s $ 10).
The changing room is kinda small — maybe because this used to be a clothing-​optional pool whose changing room wasn’t used much. The water in its showers also runs kinda cold, at least when we visited. The changing room is also where the sauna is located, in case you’re looking to add that to your visit.

Had so much fun here! It was a cool thing to do in New Orleans. I’ve always wanted to go to a drag show and this was a good one. Very entertaining and engaging. I loved each that each performer offered something different.
The service was very slow. And they kept asking us about partaking of the bottomless mimosas, a bit pushy. There were only a few waitresses and they did what they could, it was a long wait for our check.
I ordered the breakfast, which was grits, eggs and toast, but I didn’t like it. All New Orleans food seems to have a certain taste. So my waitress graciously assisted me by subbing my meal with a burger and tots, which was much better.
My only gripe was the wait (it was crowded with limited staff) and my food, but I would go back.

Thank you Unilocalers for helping me locate another cool place to visit! I came here as part of my birthday celebration. I made a reservation about a month prior to coming and was called a few days before to make sure nothing had changed. When my party arrived it took about 30 minutes before we were seated. We used the spare time to mingle around the club and take pics.
When we were finally seated, our waitress, Heather, greeted us and took our orders. I ordered the Traditional, which came with two eggs, applewood bacon, toast, and grits or home fries. I found the dish to be just ok.
Soon after we started eating the performers came out. The performers were comical, energetic, and truly made my morning. They also did a shout out for birthdays and bridal parties. Apparently a couple had just gotten married there that morning!
The only downside to the club was the wait time. It took long for the food to arrive, the checks, and a change to an order. Because of the wait I was unable to get a photo with the performers. Next time I visit NOLA, I want to come back and try the cocktails offered or the bottomless mimosas.

Overall, I enjoyed the show. The MC was very friendly and offered to give change before they got started. The holiday décor was a nice touch, and each performer gave a different experience. I had only been to one drag bar in Atlanta, but this was an interesting contrast. I ordered a burger, and It was very tasty.
The only negative is the service. It was very slow and the requests for bottomless mimosas became pushy after a while. I think there may have been only two waitresses, so they did what they could, but we waited almost 40 minutes for our check. I ran into one of the performers in the restroom, they had eaten and changed out of their costumes. I was a little disappointed, but I would definitely reccomed this bar to other people.

Introvert Alert: best time for alone «me time» @ the pool is during the week from 10 — noon. Perfect.
Extrovert Alert: best time for a jam packed pool and the most superb ppl watching is on Fridays — Sundays.
I like it both ways. :)

On a side note (I’m editing my review bc I wrote it while suntanning on the chair) I overheard two female guests in the shower/​sauna. One said to the other:
«It’s crazy how we are in clothes now bc we used to be naked and fuck everywhere.»
The second one replied with a touch of glorious, glimmering nostalgia: «Yeah!»
The Country Club clothing policy has changed. It used to be «clothing optional» and that was a wonderful time. Bikini tops are very uncomfortable. The guests could choose to be nude, topless, or fully dressed. I’ve seen homosexual couples in matching boy shorts, heterosexual couples in 1920’s inspired bathing suits, complete with flat straw hats and groomed mustache, ladies and gentlemen in thongs, sometimes a gent would just rock a ring around his (you know what). I especially loved seeing the elderly couple that would be nude, sun bathing, each reading a book. It was sweet and endearing, seeing them so comfortable. After all, our bodies are just cages for our souls.

I have to agree with Roxanne C… I’ve never visited before the clothing ban as well, but my experiences here have been pretty awesome.
I’ve been with a large group on 15 for a bday brunch, small group of 4, and a pool party event with some friends. Each time the service was stellar. Somehow we ALWAYS luck up with Tony as our server and he is the sweetest, nicest thang you’ll ever meet.
Of course the primary reason I’m up early on a Sunday is for mimosas. Tony made sure he kept our glasses full and will rush to put orders in over larger groups so you don’t have to wait.
The food hasn’t been amazing, but hasn’t disappointed me either. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the crab cake benedict, fried ribeye steak, and the shrimp n grits. Ugh –_​– They used to have a Berkshire pork chop dish that would make you lick the plate, but somehow when the menu was update it was removed. Wonder who’s great idea that was?
The outside pool area was pretty chill. There is a fee for entrance. You can order drinks at either bar and your tab would be updated. Lots of lounge chairs, hot tub, sauna and steam room.
I’m sure since its not clothing optional anymore its not a real nuisance to the neighborhood (as
put it), but hey there are worst things that happen in the city everyday.
Its was good clean fun and a good time on each and every one of my visits… So I shall return.

$ 10 bottomless mimosas on the weekends!!! That is really all you need to know!
Food = Yummy. I especially enjoy the fried green tomato benedict.
Mimosas = Flowing. definitely more champagne than OJ in that mixture. You take one sip and they refill your glass, now that’s what I call service!
Atmosphere = Fun. Everyone is here to have a good time. Make a reservation, it gets super crowded.
Service = See Mimosas. Excellent.
I have never been to the pool, always too full after brunch. Maybe one day!!! Separate review to come once I do.

This restaurant is located in a very nice building in Bywater, but that is the only thing remarkable about it. The waitress was not very friendly, the food is OK but not great and it was a little bit expensive site for what we got.
