I got my oil changed here today. It was quick and reasonably priced — at least I think it was but I know less than nothing about cars. I got an oil change, new coolant added, and a new air filter for roughly $ 65, and they washed the car for no additional charge. The waiting room was nice, they had TVs, video game machines, and a selection of air fresheners/​car accessories, but I REALLY hated the birds. Maybe some people like them, but I could not deal with the incessant squawking this morning. The service was friendly and I was in and out in 20 minutes or so.

Nice wash, but WATCH YOUR VALUABLES! While the price is reasonable, and the wash is good, there is a chance stuff will be missing. I lost $ 100 cash during their wash. Management response — won’t be responsible for what they’re employees do.
So do a cleaning before you get a cleaning from Uptown Carwash.

I have been using this car wash for almost a year now. The staff is very friendly and professional, and they do a great job with hand washes and detailing. The times that I have done regular washes have been fine as well.

Terrible in every way possible. 20 $ down the drain: car looks the same, inside and out. The whole cleaning experience lasted 7 minutes from hand over to pick up. Very minimal inside vacuuming, a quick wipe here and there. I was told that I should verbalise what I need done next time. How about cleaning my car? Rip off. Will never be back. Ever.

I’ve previously had a car wash from Uptown a few months ago and today I had my car serviced for an oil change and complimentary car wash. Both washes have been up to expectations. Today the oil change and wash was completed in about 20 minutes. The service men upon arrival were helpful as well as the service men at the end of the wash. They also noted before I left that I can come back within 24 hours and receive a free wash if it rains today. I’m definitely a returning customer for my car wash and oil change needs. Thanks!

This is my first time here although I’ve lived uptown my whole life. It is about 5 – 10 dollars more expensive than my usual go to Safari Car Wash but that’s all the way out in Metairie! I got the most expensive wash. The uptown wash?
The staff was polite and helpful. The waiting room was large with a big TV, kids room, and lots of things for purchase (snacks and car accessories).
My car was cleaned quickly and efficiently.

I have been coming to the Uptown Car Wash for several months. So far I’m finding that it’s hit or miss as to how well the job is done. I had my car washed yesterday and it was fine, or so I thought. Once I got home, I noticed that the inside of the car had not been done. There was dust on the dash and the windows were still dirty. This has happened 2 out of the 4 times that I’ve been coming here. What I’ve learned is that you have to watch them and check your car inside and out before you leave.
UPDATE ⁷⁄₉: Today I went back to the car wash to let them know that the interior of my car hadn’t been cleaned after it was washed. I let the woman know that I just wanted the inside done. To my surprise, she had my car washed again and made sure the guys knew to do the inside this time. I was totally not expecting this. Because of this, I changed my rating to 3 stars. Just know that you need to inspect your car before you leave.

Such a great carwash that truly is an absolute «MUST» to visit while in town.
They have a full service detail paired with a comfy, kid friendly waiting area. Complete with a playroom for the tots, 2 flatscreen TVs, as well as live animals. (Which really is cool for any age)
Great, friendly staff that treats my car with T.L.C. each and every week! It’s the ONLY wash in town that I can trust my car with, as well as leave every time with a beautiful car again. :)

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! Has ANYONE working here EVER been to a real car wash? This place is literally THE BIGGEST waste of money. I’ve lived in Southern California for the past 17 years. I’ve gone to numerous car washes. I am baffled as to how this place is still in business. It’s a sad, sad joke. Fire EVERYONE (including yourself) and start over. #EPICFAIL
I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I feel completely robbed. It was the worst car wash I’ve ever seen or been through. ANNNND, it was $ 30.00. I don’t even think they used Soap. And they up-​charged me to remove bugs and they didn’t even get them off. But then looked at me as if they were attempting to «Jedi Mind Trick» me into thinking that they had removed them.
It was not funny but I could only laugh.

The LAAAAZZY guys who work there gave me my car like it was just coming off the showroom. As if they had just spent 4 hours detailing it. When in reality it looked as if they had just taken their rags, balled them up and hurled them at the car.

It was exactly like I had gone through one of those shitty $ 6 car washes attached to a Chevron only it was $ 30.00 and with a bunch of morons at the other end looking at me for approval as if they had somehow miraculously transformed my vehicle into a brand new Bentley. I’m still sitting here perplexed as to how ANYONE is still going here.

The extreme lack of work ethic I witnessed with my own two eyes is not an attack, it’s an observation and a fact. The way I see it, you stole money from me. The job/​service I paid for (OVERPAID for) was not close to satisfactory.
While your attempt at responding is being received as humorous, I don’t think that’s how it was meant. Your «business» is absolutely cutting corners and I can’t imagine the investigation you will be doing will have to go very deep as most of the time these types of issues start at the top and trickle down to us, the consumer.
There was NO attempt while I was there at rectifying the poor job that was done. I’ll make the strong assumption that you were given misinformation via unreliable and incompetent sources.
I am not wanting or trying to come off as abrasive, rude or «mean.» I’m very simply telling you what I think of your car wash and how inadequate it is. If you work on it perhaps you can turn it around.

I just paid $ 32.00 for the «Uptown Wash» I observed the men as they were drying off the vehicles and noticed that they were all moving in slow motion. The cars were backing up so they began to cut corners. This should have been my first clue.
I received my vehicle and quickly left as I was en route to an appointment. As I was driving down Tchoupitoulas St. I noticed that the interior of the vehicle had not been touched. I then noticed that the windows on the interior had not been cleaned.
Obviously I could return to the car wash and risk missing my appointment. The point is that I should not have to return to the car wash. Management needs to put someone in place to monitor the actions of the employees and ensure that each vehicle receives proper attention.

I loved this place! Very quick and easy. Went there for an oil change and I had the guy check out other issues with my car too and he fixed everything up for a decent price.
Also, the waiting area is great — very spacious, nice chairs and tables, and cute pets — 3 beautiful birds, fish, and a very sweet dog. (they taught one of the birds to say «who dat» lol)

Here’s the scrub: my car needed a good bath and a vacuum. She hadn’t been cleaned in over a year (I’d rather spend the money on getting my nails did… Priorities). But it was time.
I’d go back, but know that it’s a quick rub down, without attention to detail. There was still dirt along edges and on the roof. I had to readjust my mats, mirrors, and seats.
I got the cheapest, most basic wash for $ 14. You get what you pay for, and I’m fine with the results. Not thrilled, but it’s better than having to do it myself.

I can NOT believe there is any less than a 5 star review for this establishment. For the same price as just an oil change any where else, I can get an oil change, car wash, and inside vacuuming and detailing. It just makes sense.

I come here when I’ve let my car go way too long between washes. I agree with other reviews that the prices are high, but I’m also paying for the convenience of not having to clean inside/​outside myself. I’ve found the customer service to be friendly every time I’ve come here.

Got my brand new car washed here today. There are now long scratches all over it, not just from the wax coming off in the wash, but actual scratches. Was the guy wearing a watch when he dried it? Are your spinning flaps covered in razor blades?
Rather than refund my money or even buff it out right there and then, the manager handed me a card for a free wash and wax for next time because they were too busy. «Sorry, not today. We’re slammed.» (Ruining other people’s cars.) «Next time, don’t buy a black car.»
Now I’m going back to the dealership with my fingers crossed way out east to have them do a new coat on it.
Never going here again. Also, the only reason I came here was for a brake tag. They don’t do those anymore, so that should be removed from Unilocal.
My car wasn’t even that clean in the end. Smudges and patches of dirt all over it. And I didn’t get the «air freshener» I paid for although my car did smell when I got back in. I hate leaving a bad review, but this one just couldn’t slide.

I went here the day after Thanksgiving. They had very few customers. So I expected good service. I paid for an oil change and a car wash. The service was quick, but I paid $ 14 for a car wash and vacuum, which was ½ done. The floors were vacuumed, but the seats and console was not. The car was run through the wash, but there was mud left under each door. I get a better wash than this at one of the less expensive robo-​car washes. Very disappointed in the car wash
service.

After utilizing Uptown Carwash on a regular basis over the past couple years, I feel qualified to highly recommend them. For a very reasonable $ 14, you get your car vacumed, pre-​treated, ran through the wash, hand-​dried, windows cleaned (inside & out), dashboard and door jams cleaned. This all happens while you relax in their comfortable waiting room, where you can watch TV, catch up on work, or whatever. A member of their friendly staff even stays with your car to be sure you’re 100% satisfied before you leave.
I truly didn’t know just how good Uptown was, until I tried a competitor today. I won’t make that mistake, again!

I’ve definitely had WAY better car washes. It seems like every time I come here, I tell myself I won’t be back. For those of you who know me, you know I live for the car washes at a certain place in Mandeville (and may have even driven all the way across the lake, just for a decent, affordable, total service car wash).
I feel that every time I go to Uptown Car Wash, I have to tell the people drying that they’ve missed a spot and didn’t do the interior front/​back windows properly. I don’t think I’ve ever gone and NOT had to go back and re-​do the windows myself. I always feel like they’re doing the absolute bare minimum, if that. But, because there aren’t any other car wash places Uptown (and they know it), they can get away with this sort of thing.
I’ll probably be back in between trips to the Northshore — but my advice is to get the cheapest one there, and find another place to have waxes/​other things done.

The other reviews do a great job giving a general idea of what to expect at the Uptown Car Wash.
–There’s usually a line, but it moves at a fair pace.
–They do a pretty DECENT job washing and vacuuming
–If you’re getting the oil change deal anyway, it’s just a bonus.
-$ 3 extra if they see you have a lot of bugs to remove
–There’s an indoor waiting area or you can venture over to the neighboring shopping center while your car is being worked on. Convenient. But make sure you’re not gone for more than 15 minutes.
I probably would have given UCW more of 3.5 star rating, however, I find it appalling that they leave your keys either in your car, unlocked, or in the driver’s side door keyhole. The last time I was there, every single car was left this way. Uh… that’s a car-​jacking just waiting to happen!

I was first told of this legendary car wash and oil change shop by my boyfriend who knows that I love me some animals. I usually go to the «sit in your car» oil change places where it’s hard to tell them, «no I don’t want that new filter,» but you’re mean muggin’ me into it.
You get there and they have you fill out a little form, then send you over to the waiting room. There are the windows to watch your car as it gets a bath (so voyeuristic, if you ask me).
There are video game machines, massage chairs, a kids area, and a variety of car air fresheners with more options than the Barbie aisle in Toys R Us. Now to the animals…
There is a fish tank, and what I assume is a tank usually for turtles or some other amphibious creature ’cause it was empty. There was a chameleon in the kids room (check out ma’ photo). Then there are the parrots! There is a big white Cockatoo, an African Grey Parrot, and a Sun Conure. They’re all super sweet and the African Grey Parrot says, «Who Dat!»
Birds live for 50+ years so not only do I get my bird fix, I get my oil changed and car cleaned for a reasonable price. They even let you bring your pet in, per the girl sitting behind me had a very well behaved puppy. All together it takes maybe 30 minutes, and I’ve never had to wait much longer than that.
