Stopped and got a pizza and hero but the pizza was terrible! The meat on the heros is gross and got no meat at all, maybe that was a good thing! lol But the bread is actually really good! Everything tasted very bland. I would’ve rather stay hungry than stop here!

If you know what pizza is, you know this place is a joke. Went there once, and they made INDIVIDUALSLICES! In other words, the pizza is so bad and no one goes there that they don’t even have a plain pie made to cut into slices. They just made 1 slice: dough, sauce, cheese. Save yourselves! Go to Rocco’s.

Overpriced, food and staff are bland and without personality. I believe the wings are per cooked from a bulk store and heated. Chicken Parm consisted of two chicken fingers sauce and cheese.

My Hero has the best antipasto salad I have ever eaten and their sausage hero is right up there with the salad. The décor isn’t modern — — -in fact it could be called tired, but that doesn’t take away from the food. I love My Hero. After a day of climbing in the Gunks it’s the perfect place to re-fuel.

I actually love their meatball hero!!! First I tried it I was famished & grabbed a hero for the bus ride to NYC! Really hit the spot! I also came with my boyfriend & we sat at a booth; he tried the chicken cutlet parm, which wasn’t as good as the tried-and-tested meatball parm!!! For under $ 15 with a coke, that’s a pretty sweet deal! The service is also very friendly, and the 50s nostalgic décor rocks the place! Plus, u can debit a hero yay!

For the record I’ve never left a negative review on Unilocal before, ever. This was my first visit here. Considering the saturation of pizza joints in Orange county you really have to be great. My Hero is far from great. The bad: Wings are shockingly bad: soggy and lack of flavor. Paper plates. Really?! The ok: service was fair, the«my hero» sandwich was large but just average. Pizza was good, just nothing special. While I’m sure there are worse restaurants somewhere, there’s no reason to go. I probably won’t be back.

You get tons for your money here. A sandwich full of multiple cold cuts was at least 18 inches. All of this and a drink was around $ 10 or less. The meat was fresh and the bread was good. They also sold pizza.

I worked here for about two months. It was HELL. I was forced to listen to 50’s music non stop day in and day out. Absolute torture. And the truth is this place was THE worst food I’ve ever ever ever eaten. While working I was able to eat for free, but I didn’t. When someone asks me about an eatery I despise, this is one of the first ones that pops into mind. Actually, I’m lying. No one has ever asked me that question. But when I daydream about it I can’t wait to yell, «My Hero in New Paltz!»

Drove by this place yesterday. They have the 34th anniversary banner up. Unbelievable. They can last that long because there are NO witnesses aka survivors.
