Growing up in Howard Beach, New York — Joey, our founder, wanted to share his passion of cooking Italian traditions with others. This is why Joey’s N.Y. Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant was created: to share his Italian traditions passed down from generations, using nothing other than fresh ingredients with Florida.

When they first opened the pizza was great, but the last few times I can tell the dough was frozen which is a big disappointment. The Stromboli is awesome and the salads are good. The stuffed mushrooms are good too. I just won’t be ordering the pizza again.

We have been regulars of both Joey’s since they opened the location at Golden Acres. We have never had a bad meal at either location. We also love the chicken parm, and chicken marsala. I love how you feel like family when your there. Such a warm environment! The greek salad is amazing.

We have been regulars at Joey’s since they opened. The atmosphere, ambiance and staff are great. We have never had a bad meal. Estherina and Sara are the best waitresses, make you feel like family. We are thrilled to have a GREAT Italian restaurant in our neighborhood that makes us feel like we are back home in NY! Keep up the good work Joey’s, we love you!

Excellent delivery service ordered two meatball parmigan heros, piping hot, ingredients well put together except for the amount of cheese was overwhelming and needed more sauce. I would rate it on a scale of 1 – 10 an 8 for food content and a 10 for customer service and delivery which makes this a place i would revisit

Food is good for Italian food around here. Pizzas are good, garlic knots and eggplant rollitini are good as well. Chicken Alfredo is lacking in flavor and seasoning. Better for take out. Service is always a bit slow and forgetful.

Excellent Italian food with generous portions at very reasonable prices. I love the angel hair pasta with meat sauce. Just $ 9.99, and it comes with soup or salad and garlic knots. I have a big appetite, and have only managed to finish all of the pasta once out of five times without taking some home for later. I keep wanting to try other things on the menu, but only make it here about once a month and the angel hair with meat sauce is so good, that I’ve had the exact same meal five times. Someday (I keep promising myself), I’m going to try the Calzone. It’s bigger than your head! They are very well staffed. I’ve never seen them short staffed, and the service is always very friendly.

I went there at 8:45 pm. I ordered an eggplant hero. there were very few people in there and most were finishing up. With nothing else going on in 5he kitchen it took them 30 min to get my eggplant hero.
They are all young kids and apparently no manager in charge.
The hero was really average. There are plenty of better places to go in the area.

Pizza dough was bland and lacked both chewiness and crispness that I’m use to in good pizzas. The thin crust pizza was no different from the regular crust. Sauce had decent flavor. I don’t think I’d order again.

They forgot my pasta with my dinner this time. At least twice they forgot my rolls. Several time they forgot my soup. The food is great but they can’t get my take out order right. I’m paying for food I don’t get. The employees seem like they just don’t care unless the owner is there. This blows. no pasta with my chicken Parmesan dinner tonight. only chicken Parmesan.

I expected this Joey’s to be the same as there other location but I was very disappointed.
First thing we were told to sit where ever we would like from a server from the far end of the restaurant. The table we sat down at was dirty as well as the tables around us. My wife’s chicken parm was left in the oven too long the cheese was burned. The sandwich I ordered came out 10 minutes after my wife’s chicken parm. We also ordered a meatball sandwich to go to have later that evening it had egge shells in one of the meat balls. The server was good and the décor was very nice but I’ll never go back.

Good sized, hot slices w good amount of toppings. Well worth the money. The eggplant was my favorite. Good clean tables, staff are very attentive, kept my drink full. All in all an excellent quick lunch for the price, and one of the best pizzas in the area. They do delivery as well.

We really enjoyed our time here. The interior was extremely nice with marble tables/​comfortable and various city pictures on the walls. The music was just right. The food was fresh and very reasonably priced. They had over 40 wine selections not one exceeding more than $ 6 for glass of wine. Service was excellent too. We will definitely be back!
