Outstanding food, lovely service. Owner Yvonne also is the chef and everything is meticulously prepared. Ask for recommendations. You can’t go wrong. And the mango sangria

This is a perfect little neighborhood restaurant. We have dined here often since it opened, sometimes just the two of us, sometimes with friends and family. The service is uniformly warm and prompt. We have never had a dish that was not first rate. The wine and beer selection is a bit limited, but fairly priced. If you can’t go to Barcelona for tapas, you won’t go wrong here.

Really great tapas restaurant. Yes you will pay a slight premium but the cozy atmosphere and tasty food are worth while.

I can’t tell you how many people I have sent here — its that great! A small place with family in the kitchen and on the floor, they care deeply about the food and the guest’s experience, and it shines through. My favorites are the chorizo and clams in a rich broth so good that sopping it up with rolls may be the best part. The best tuna tartare ever. Add patatas bravas and you have a meal for two. Love the rest(of the menu) but that is the best!

What a wonderful discovery in New Rochelle! The red/white sangria was perfect, while the mango sangria for my partner was a little too sweet. We started with a tower of appetizers. Tuna tartare(drizzled with smoky sesame oil), cod fish croquets(lighter than you would think) and crispy, spicy fried artichoke. A great start. The Paella del Mariscos was fantastic! A medley of well-prepared seafood(mussels, shrimp, squid and cuttlefish) over a bed of rice that was nice and fluffy, not overly heavy or sticky! I’d also recommend the chicken empanadas or for a main, the black & blue tuna, which was perfectly medium rare. I can’t wait to try more on my next visit!

My cousin celebrated her 30th birthday at Patrias Ceviches Tapas Restaurant. This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The restaurant itself is very cozy and intimate. Now about the food, where do I begin… we had a preset menu which started off with back to back tapas. The tapas were one of the best, if not the best I have ever had. Everything was tasty and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for a small intimate dinner party or a date night with a friend or significant other.

Came here on a Thursday night. The place was completely empty. The service was great. Had the ceviche for an appetizer which was good. But the muscles and the seafood paella had no flavor. It’s missing something and I felt like going to a near-by supermarket and buying my own sauce and spices.

Spectacular service tonight by our lovely waitress. very relaxing atmosphere. Just the right type of music for those pensive folks ending their week. Tonight I Had the Seafood ceviche which was quite expensive for the small quantity, it could of used more seasoning as the tomato flavor seemed to be very dominant which surprised my un expecting taste buds. The lomo saltado could of used more«juiceness» as a real Lomo lover would say it was just more of dry meat with potatoes. Again The service was the highlight of my visit. Food wise wasn’t fully up to expectations but I will visit again on a non macro counting day expecting the same lady !

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. My husband and I stopped for a quick, pre-movie dinner. We ordered a beef empanada, patatas bravas, pochas con almejas — a stew of Manila clams, white beans, and chorizo, and grilled beef Moroccan style. I also had a glass of their fabulous white sangria. Wonderful local New Rochelle restaurant, but definitely make reservations!

My husband and I have been back quite a few times, often bringing family and friends. On one visit, the NYT was there. Their published review was just Good, but pay no attention! The atmosphere is lovely and the service is usually top-notch. I really love the menu and am rarely disappointed in anything served. My only complaint is that I keep ordering the seafood paella because I LOVE it so much. My husbands favorite is the scallops and we often have the artichoke and meatball small plates as appetizers. It is more fun to go with 4 or more to share more items, but it’s got a great warm and romantic atmosphere for 2. This is definitely one of our regular go-to places!

Been a year since I got back here and love the food here. Ordered the fried marinated chicken, salty cod fritters and fries, then got the paella and fideua. Really liked the food and then topped it off with flan. Service was good, but it was an off night and we were the only ones around. This place doesn’t take credit cards, which is one of the reasons the prices here are lower.

Great tapas and great food! It’s a very cute restaurant and it gives you a small taste of Spain. Very original Spanish food, I would give them the 5 stars but they only receive cash. Make sure you bring cash with you should you want to have a dinner here. Other than that I recommend this place. I very cute view to the St. As well.

The place is beautiful and waitresses are friendly. Food is not bad — serves in large portion and price is reasonable. Maybe a little salty I guess… Coz I drink much water during dinner! Another thing inconvenient is they don’t accept any cards but only cash…

Things I ordered here: grilled shrimp appetizer, beef empanadas, chorizo paella, and a very nice bottle of red wine. It was more of an attempt at dinner than tapas, and while the food was good my favorite was the grilled shrimp which were served in a delicately spicy garlic sauce that went very well with it. On a Friday night we were lucky to get a table without reservations. I would recommend making a reservation if you’re dining on the weekend, this is a popular spot in New Rochelle. My friend had the ceviche, which I tasted and thought was amazing. I think next time I come here I will order different things off the menu, like the ceviche. I thought the empanada was dry, I would stay away from those. I really like the décor, modern but warm, dimly lit and an inviting intimate space. Look forward to more dinners here.

I came here last Friday night with a dear friend of mine. The spot wasn’t hard to find and it’s away from the busy parts of New Rochelle so it was actually relatively easy to find parking. When I got there, the place wasn’t that busy yet. The décor of the place is casual — a good spot to go with friends and small groups but I wouldn’t label it as romantic. We ordered five tapas — the patatas bravas, the fried artichokes, the vegetable empanadas, the broiled shrimp with garlic and butter, and the cod croquettes. Most were absolutely phenomenal. I liked the cod croquettes and the fried artichokes the best. The empanadas were good but it could have been better. Also, I thought it was a bit too expensive for one empanada($ 4). We also ordered the red and the white sangria. Go with the red here. Normally, I like white sangrias more than the red because it is typically lighter but theirs tasted too orange-y for me but their red sangria was good — not heavy at all. The meal was very filling and we stayed for quite a while because it was a very comfortable atmosphere. My only critique was the waiter that we had. When we placed our order for the tapas, he mentioned that he noticed we were ordering all fried things — may he suggest some salad to break it up? We said no, we weren’t in the mood but thanks. After that, he kept pushing for us to order a salad. It makes me think he needs additional sales or he was calling us fat. Just annoying. But if you don’t count the waiter, the experience was fun! Also note, it’s a cash only place! I didn’t know until I got there.

Small cozy place with amazing food! Friendly staff. Unlimited sangria specials(I always leave drunk) Their tuna tartar is the best I’ve EVER had! Give it a try. You won’t regret it.

I was devastated when my beloved Cholo’s Kitchen closed, but Patria is doing a nice job in its place. It’s becoming a regular on my New Rochelle restaurant rotation. The atmosphere is elegant but casual, intimate and warm but sharp and modern. You can usually walk in without a reservation, yet the place isn’t awkwardly empty either. The waiters are super nice and helpful as well. The food is quite good. I really enjoy the ceviche Peruano, although it’s not quite at the level Cholo’s ceviche was on(also a slightly smaller portion). The tuna tartare and empanadas are also great. In addition to the main menu, there’s always a separate specials menu that’s pretty extensive. The only thing I’ve had that I didn’t like at all was the chicken soup, which I found to be bland. Overall I definitely recommend this place for a nice evening of tapas and drinks! With time, I’m confident that it can reach the 5 star quality of it’s predecessor, Cholo’s Kitchen.
