Overall rating: 4.5 Stars We tried Shirley’s after getting a flyer in the mail, announcing their grand opening. Unlike most Indian Restaurants, they have a dinner buffet, not just a lunch buffet. We dropped by on a Saturday night to try out the dinner buffet and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located directly across from a very large munipial parking lot, so parking was not an issue. The dining room is pretty large, with a private room off to the side for events. When we went, the dining room was not crowded and they have a large TV playing various Bollywood films that you can watch as you eat. We found the food to be tasty, although they did not have as many chutneys and other«extras» as other Indian buffets I have been to. That said, the owner did come out and personally check on us and make sure everything was OK. The buffet had two types of rice, two chicken dishes, two vegetable dishes, goat curry, fish curry, papadum and Salad. They also had freshly prepared Ulundu vadai(a savory donut) and masala dosai(a crispy stuffed crêpe) which were both outstanding. Dessert was gulab jamun(spongy milky balls soaked in a rose scented syrup) and payasam(Indian rice pudding). We left pleasantly stuffed and already planning our next visit.
