Starlite II is a small Diner with fresh, home cooked food. Chef/Owner Francis is a Culinary Institute of America graduate who brings comfort food to you at a fair price. A fresh turkey is made every day along with fresh, homemade soups. Also, baked at the restaurant is fresh roastbeef, loin of pork, ham, meatloaf and countless other items. All baked goods are made there by owner Marianne. Muffins, brownies and an apple cinnamon or banana buttermilk cake can be found under glass on the counter.
History
Established in 2012.
Starlite II has been a staple on Main Street in New Rochelle for over 35 years. Husband and wife (Francis & Marianne) took over in 2012 and remodeled to show off its uniqueness and a little bit of New Rochelle from the past. Both born and raised in New Rochelle, they are trying to bring Main Street back. Change of hands also was nostalgic because Francis worked there in his early twenties.
Meet the Business Owner
Francis and Marianne L.
Business Owner
Francis graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 1996. He then worked at Winged Foot Golf Club, a French Restaurant for many years and most recently at Siwanoy Country Club.
Marianne has been involved in Visual Merchandising for many years and has worked at The Countainer Store for over 13 years.
