DO NOT use this company. I recently closed on a home May 2013 I had it inspected by a qualified home inspector in March 2013. The inspector noticed that the pitch on the water heater to the chimney was incorrect. I raised my concern with the seller and the seller dutifully got the issue fixed… or so it seemed.
Fast forward to July 2013, I had a plumber out to install a gas line for my grill and he noticed that «fixed» problem was incorrect. In fact it was a health hazard because there was an elbow joint (pointing down) in the ventilating pitch therefore not allowing the heat and or gas to flow properly up the chimney, causing carbon monoxide to enter the house. I had 3 other companies come out and they said the exact same thing!!! I was also told if Central Hudson were to come out and see this, they would shut down my water heater be shut down due to it being a health hazard. So to make sure I covered all my bases I had F&N (the OWNER) come out and look at the work, and he said it was fine that a 3″ pipe elbowing into an 8″ was perfectly normal and fine. Also what was noticed was the trip connectors on top of the water heater were bent up and not down. This is to detect overheating and not allowing for carbon monoxide to be let out.
Bottom line what it comes down to is I had 4 companies all say the same thing. The «fix» was incorrectly done and is a health hazard. Thank God it is just my Wife and I for now and our use of hot water in this heat is very limited. I would really suggest calling around and asking for references as I WOULD NOT I repeat WOULD NOT recommend this company.
