Lower East Siders’ too lazy to do your laundry? Stay away from Wash Wrong Laundromat.
1stly, there are four or five different laundromats that are in the vicinity, and based on the other reviews to this place, I wouldn’t trust them to clean my dirty rags.
My personal experience was that I submitted my suit pants to these guys, and a week later, went to pick it up and the hemming was out. Of course, I didn’t notice till I got to work, and my co-​workers pointed it out.
I submitted the pants back to them to fix, and they did some shit job that involved two stitches. I was skeptical, but decided to give it a shot. It went out after about 45 seconds of wear.
I came back, and they said they would fix it. Note, I haven’t been able to use these pants for three weeks at this point. They told me there was a 10-​day turn around! That’s absurd.
I got it back 10-​days later and they try to charge me $ 10 for fixing the hemming!!!
I yelled at the guy, took my pants and left. During this time, I was told by the people there to go elsewhere to send my laundry. Terrible customer service.
I have many complaints about this place. At one point, they took another suit pants, and I came back a week later, and they hadn’t washed it because their factory had turned it away. If you can’t wash my shit, then tell me you can’t in a timely manner, and dont try to charge me for it.
I wouldn’t wish the Wash Wrong experience on my worst enemy.
I know that it may be tempting to go to this place because their prices are on the lower end. Don’t do it. They do a shit job, and you can feel the difference in your dry cleaning that this is a shit institution.

Avoid at all cost.
Very bad location for your laundry. Very rude person. He has made my clothes dry clean late every time. I tried to give this place several chances but each time I got disappointment. All the times I see that soil was still staying on the clothes and spots were still visible after dry cleaning. He is probably just ironing the clothes. The latest problem was that he ripped off my suit from various places and provided me no solution. He took the negative approach by shouting and stating that the suit was like this itself when I dropped the suit for dry cleaning. Rather than trying to retain the customer by providing «some» service he was angry and annoying all the time.
I will not give my business to this person any more.
Go here only if you want your clothes to get ripped off. The person takes no ownership of spoiled clothes. The customer service is 0 on 10 point scale and very rude.

They are not friendly at all. I actually don’t like knowing that I have to go there but it’s the closest place to my apartment. Their hours are good because they close really late and are open on Sundays but those are the only good things. Prices are not great, they don’t take credit cards, and they will nickel and dime you every time, they won’t ever let you get away with not pay two cents so you don’t have to have 98 cents of loose change in your pocket. I went here for two years straight, they still don’t even say hello.

As soon as I opened my laundry bag a bad smell emanated. It smells as if the clothes were not washed with detergent, and there is also a faint mothball smell.

My favorite neighborhood laundromat– large, clean, seating, Internet, tv, & very nice man that runs it (at least on Sunday nights). I’ve been going for more than five years & will walk past 5 others just to go there!

I literally never write reviews, but felt like I needed to for this place. My existing wash and fold service on 2^nd avenue just closed and I’ve been hesitant to try a new place because, well, you really never know. Well, I liked everything about this place up until I got home and took my clothes out of the bag — they smell awful. Not only is there no hint of a detergent scent, they actively smell bad enough that I had to spray everything with febreeze (and will likely end up re-​washing). No matter how nice the people were and how nicely my clothes were packaged, I will definitely not be coming back here.

So apparently New Yorkers don’t do their own laundry? Mind-​boggling.
It was during a short stay in the city when I realized that my apartment didn’t have a washer/​dryer unit. Unilocal time!
I was in East Village, so I went to Lin Laundry Mat first and I had no complaints. Got 5lbs of wash and fold done for $ 8. But I’m a proponent of trying out different places, so I visited this place next, and it was a pleasant enough experience to warrant a write-​up. I got about 10lbs of laundry done for $ 10.80. Wait, what? Yeah it’s super cheap! What else I liked about it:
+ The Asian man at the counter (who I assume also runs the place) is nice and efficient.
+ Everything’s transparent. He weighs out your bag on this giant scale in front of you and the pricing is posted on the wall right when you walk in. You already know how much it’ll cost before you leave.
+ You can ask him to hang dry certain items, no extra charge! When I went back the next day, my normal items were folded and compacted in plastic inside my laundry bag as per usual, and my 3 more delicate items were hanging on a wall in a plastic garment bag. Perfect!
If I lived in the city, I’d use this laundromat again in a heartbeat. Alas, it’s back to the simple life for me.
By the way, the place is called D & M Cleaners now. :)

I’ve been dropping my clothes off here since I moved to the city in March. They do a wonderful job and Michael is so friendly! It’s incredibly inexpensive ($ 1 pound?) And quick turn around! They will even air dry certain items for you. I love this place and highly recommend it!

Don’t waste your time. This place was better in the past, but I have had enough of their missing clothes, wet laundry, and bad wash and fold service in general. The other thing they do that drives me nuts is round out the weight of your laundry to the next highest pound, and sometimes even higher. Enough of their robbery. Next!

During the summer, I try to get my laundry done in the morning before it gets hot since they don’t ever turn on the air conditioner. THEY ALWAYS OPEN LATE WHICH MAKES ME LATE TO WORK! The facility is clean but like I said– no a/​c! If you decide to drop off your laundry, make sure you don’t have more than 3 hang dry pieces because you will be denied.

I went to this place in search for a better laundromat than my current one. I walked in and asked the person at the desk who I can speak to about holding business accounts (to wash white towels for my salon on a daily basis). The person abruptly cut me off and said «no accounts, what business? cash only.» I wasn’t sure if they understood my question since they answered so brashly and English wasn’t their first language, so I asked again in simpler terms and the person gave me another dirty look, just shook their head, grabbed my bag, and rudely told me «no» again, and screamed «YOU PAY CASH ONLY» obviously just trying to sweep me out of there. Despite this awkward encounter, I decided to still leave my towels there to see if they would do a better job than my current laundromat. I returned next day and upon checkout asked them to re-​weigh my bag since when I brought the towels in they were wet. I was told by the attendant that I have to tell them its wet when I drop off, and they cannot make a price adjustment because I didn’t do this when I walked in «first day”(I wish she had told me that that clearly… but that was the intended message). I patiently explained to them that I wasn’t aware of their protocol, and at other laundromats I am billed after my laundry is dry. We went back and forth a couple of times, I asked to speak to a manager, she was very reluctant to call for this person. Eventually a man/​manager? came out, the situation was explained to him, and he smiled at me and said «Ok, we’ll charge the price of your dry clothes.» I was thankful my situation made sense to him. I paid my bill, walked out, and will certainly never return. Their machines and facilities look clean and I’m sure if you don’t have to interact with anyone or pose any questions you’ll be fine.

I have only done drop off at one other place in EV since moving here. It was over a $ 1 per pound and my clothes came back faded and smelled a little musty. After that I started doing my own at the same place. Still the machines never seemed to really get my clothes clean and it ended up costing about the same plus spending about an hr and half there. Found this place all thanks to Unilocal and I LOVE IT! They did an amazing job! Nothing is faded! It all has definitely been washed and dried and not at a high temperature (yes I can tell the difference). Plus I dropped of 20 pounds and it was under $ 20 dollars. From now on I will walk the extra block to drop off here! The hours are amazing, it is very clean, and they are EXTREMELY friendly. Not sure if I will try anywhere else, this might just be my perfect neighborhood laundromat. :D

I go there for dry cleaning. It’s cheaper than most places I’ve found in the village and LES. And they do a pretty decent job I think. No complaints. And they’re friendly. They don’t use a computer so if you lose your ticket you’re screwed. But Im pretty happy to have found them overall. They’re my first choice for dry cleaning services.

These guys were my drop-​off laundry service regulars for the two years that I lived in the East Village, and of all the service industry folks I got to know while living there, I’ll probably miss them the most.
The pricing is your standard by-​the-​pound situation and it’s not terribly cheap, but not overpriced either. They only lost one or two items of mine over the years (a better rate than I could have accomplished had I done it myself) and their folding was quite solid. I wasn’t blown away with their dry cleaning service, instead opting for the guys across the street and a bit closer to First Avenue, so that takes one star away.
By the last few months of my tenure here, the regular guy at the desk even knew my name. Not bad. If you live on East 4^th between First and Second, definitely give these guys a shot.

After my schedule became over-​populated with too much stuff to do, doing my laundry was out. I dropped it off at WashRite and they did an excellent job, and in only a few hours. The very nice staff are a pleasure. ;-)

I love this laundromat, especially for wash & fold (self-​service is great, too). Been coming here for the past 11 years and they’re lovely — always so sweet and accommodating. As far as a bargain, you can’t get much better. The laundry always comes out smelling great; they’ll use your own detergents/​softeners if you like, too. Heart this place; hope it never changes.

I have been a customer since they opened and this establishment has always been friendly, professional and best of all very affordable – approximately $ 20 for 22 – 24 lbs of laundry. If you choose to use the coin-​op machines, go at odd times – people do monopolize ten machines or more at a time. You’re not saving much money by doing your own laundry as the drop off prices are such a deal. Dry cleaning fees are also good – $ 8 for a winter coat, $ 3.50 a blouse.

It’s strange, but they literally charge $ 1 per pound, which is fucking sick, so if you had 10 shirts and 4 pairs of pants and they added up to 10 pounds, guess how much you pay… And actually, I think they charge a little less than a dollar, because today I brought in 40 pounds of clothing, and it cost $ 39 which is actually really good considering the bag was so damn huge and heavy!
When I had bed bugs, I told them I had bed bugs and needed them washed, and I thought they were going to get all pissy about it, but they said they knew how to handle it and what to wash it with… Sick!
Also, they’re the cheapest laundromat around here, TRUST ME! All the rest rip you off and don’t even fucking wash your clothes, believe me.
This is the best laundromat in the east village, take advantage of them!

i take my laundry here for drop off because it’s on my block. it’s fine, nothing crazy happens to my clothes, the people working here are friendly, organized and efficient. also the hours are very convenient.

This laundromat AKA Wash Rite does a great job for self-​service as well as less than a day turnaround for laundry that is dropped off. They do 7 pounds for $ 7, and if you tip them once or twice, they will give you a $ 2 or $ 3 discount any time after that when you come in. They are very friendly, although I would suggest giving your own detergent to work with… the detergent that they use doesn’t smell as nice and leaves your clothes a little dry. Anyway, this is the place I use over and over again.
