Six of us went for lunch with a reservation. We ordered mains only no appetizers. The bread came to the table toasted and cold. We waited almost 50 minutes without seeing the waiter. Finally the burgers arrived… for four of us… all the food was cold. Two of us then got our food ten minutes later. Just horrible service and meh food at best. Save your time and money and don’t go here. Matt’s Grill is a much better option. Never again. By the way there were only two other parties, one party of six and one of three. The party of three had not gotten food in 90 minutes. One of the worst dining options in NY

Somewhere out there 1 Vizio was given four(4) stars… Not sure how that happened! To begin with, we arrive for our 7:30 reservation(Thursday evening), and we are the only people in the restaurant. Is that a sign? Our waiter was not friendly or helpful at all! And, except for the Beet Salad, the food lacked flavor! The salmon entrée was overcooked; the(Fantastic) meatballs needed a lot more seasoning; and the hamburger was blah! I am so sorry I wasted one of my dinners in NYC at 1 Vizio!

This is a good choice for pre-theatre. The menu seems to be divided between traditional Italian and sandwiches/burgers. The Kobe burger is very good. The salads are good. The service was attentive. I’ve been here several times and was never disappointed.

Excellent food, especially the fries, Kobe burgers, and Chipotle Bison burgers. Slow but helpful service.

Had a reservation for 10, we were seated right away. Waiter and waitress were very nice and attentive. Food was awesome, we got the bison chipotle burger, and goat cheese and apple salad. Only down side is no liquor license, but they had great beer and wine.

I have dietary restrictions so I read the menu on line at and found several options that I could eat. The reviews mentioned Vizio was reasonably priced, so we decided to go there. I found the menu in the restaurant to be quite limited, a shortened version of what was online. The food was good, but I left hungry because I was only able to eat a salad and the prices were also much higher than the menu posted on line.

Great food! Ordered from them using the Eat24 app. The delivery was on time and the food was still hot. The rosemary chicken was delicious. Only downside was that they got the side dish wrong, but we ate it anyway.

Where to start… I wish there was an option to give zero stars so one will have to do. Service was kinda bad, it took almost an hour to get our food and we were two of 4 people in the entire place. We could have complained about every single thing that came out. My diet coke tasted awful and it came from a can so to me that’s weird that it would taste bad. Oh wait the soda expired over a month ago maybe that’s why. We ordered the hummus. We did not get garbanzo bean hummus it was more like a red or pinto bean hummus garnished with onion and peppers I believe and had the color of refried beans. We order tuna nachos. The menu stated it was fresh tuna and mozzarella… yeah not so much. The tuna was greyish in color and dry so it was not fresh and it was covered in what tasted like blue cheese dressing not mozzarella. We ordered the Kobe beef burger. I highly doubt it was Kobe beef it kinda seemed like it was a frozen patty. I ordered my burger medium and it came out pretty much well done. It was also supposed to come with truffle aioli that was absent from the plate entirely and crispy onions that were not crispy at all. We also had sweet fries with the burger that weren’t completely terrible just a little over cooked. As our second entrée we ordered terrific steak. I cannot tell you how this was because we received the skirt steak that had so much garlic in the chimi sauce that would warn off any vampire in the vicinity. Since we were given the $ 16.95 skirt steak we should have been charged the price for the skirt steak but no we were charged the $ 18.95 for the terrific steak. Not so terrific… Also, not only was my diet coke expired they brought out bottles of ketchup, brown mustard, and mayo. The mustard was expired, the mayo had some of the label ripped off so I can only guess maybe it was expired, and the ketchup looked warn and old. All in all the service was poor and the food was even more poor. I will not be back or recommend this establishment to anyone. Unless you want to go and order water, bread, pita, and wonton chips(those were the only decent things we had).

Well, let’s rate as I wait… how about that? I walked in at 8:20, waited till 8:23 for someone to greet me. The greeter was very jolly and it felt nice and homey. I waited till 8:30 until I was about ready to leave when the waiter popped over apologized. Took my order and was back quickly with my wine and water. So far, so good. Order went in at 8:35 and food(chicken parmigiana) was done so fast. Food was wonderful! The service was great from here on out. They made me a believer and I’ll leave my attitude at the door next time!

The prices were great and the burgers were delicious, though, I ordered mine Medium Well and it came more towards the Medium side. Other than that, the delivery was prompt and the food was hot. Had the burger been cooked the way I asked, it would be a 5 star rating. Definitely worth the money.

Came here a couple of weeks ago for lunch with some coworkers. We rang ahead to book a table to make sure we’d have space. Not a problem as the place was empty. The last time I had been here was a few years ago. Not sure what happened or if they owners/manager changed but it was quite a different. Unfortunately not in a good way. We decided on this place after looking at the menu online. When we arrived, we were sat by a waiter who passed out menus. Upon opening, one of the group commented that the prices were quite high. I was surprised since we looked it up online. They had given us a different menu to the one online, one that is significantly higher and has some items that are on the other menu, but the prices are more on this one. I asked what happened to the menu online and he said, quite snarky I might add, Oh, did you want THAT menu? You can only have one menu, not both. We were confused. I said yes that was the menu we had seen online and would like to see it. He brought over ONE menu for me and then started to take away the other menus. My friends said they’d like to look at both and again he said you can only order from one menu and had to choose which one. All of this with an attitude that we were obviously disturbing his psyche, so we decided to get up and leave. Shame as it used to be a nice affordable place for lunch. Will not return now.

This place is amazing! We popped in here on a whim because we were seeing a Broadway show, and we couldn’t have been more happy. The food was amazing and the service was. Incredible! Between the three of us, we explored the menu. Great burger, panini, salad, and the appetizers were badass. And if you’re lucky, maybe Josuey will be your waiter. He really made the experience that much more enjoyable. Check it out!

I was in NYC for business looking for a good place to eat by myself. When I entered Vizio, I was instantly impressed with the décor. I felt right at home. The service was amazing and the food just as good. I opted for the meatloaf(yes I know) and was not disappointed. The entire experience was great. I left my leftover bag on the table by accident, left and walked two blocks toward my hotel when I heard someone calling me. I turned to look and it was my waiter Jose bringing me my leftovers. You cannot go wrong at Vizio. Very intimate setting and a great place for a date as well as alone.

An interesting choice especially when it comes to the burgers *Note* My review is based on take-out only. Food: 3.5 Stars The Champ Burger: Half pound of black Angus beef steak burger. I ordered this burger medium-rare but received a bizarrely cooked burger. Half of it was medium-rare and the other half was medium-well. The crazier part of this the cooking difference was vertical, not horizontal. I don’t know how they managed that. The burger wasn’t juicy, but the meat was tender and not dry. The toppings you can choose from are interesting if you feel a very mildly adventurous(And I mean mildly). I took the«Olives Sweet Fried Onions» thinking the fried onions were from a brand called olives or something else. However the dish included fried onions and olives. It seems like a weird combination, but it worked. You have 10 choices of cheeses for your burger. I went with my standard mozzarella, good choice as usual. The fries are above average. Fish and Chips It took me a while to find a place that has fish and chips(as well as a place where I can be lazy and order it online), but 1 Vizio has it. The fish was fresh and well cooked. The batter was crispy and had a nice golden color. I will be happy to order it again when I get a craving for it Service: 3.25 Stars Standard service. I received my order and I was offered a seat while my food was still being prepared. They staff was polite. Speed: 3.5 Stars The first time I went, I arrived about 20 – 25 minutes after ordering and my food wasn’t ready yet, but the second time after showing up 15 – 20 minutes after ordering, my food was ready. I don’t know if this was inconsistency, bad luck, or they weren’t sure if I would show up or not, but overall I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes after arriving at the restaurant. Ambiance: 3.5 Stars 1 Vizio is a pretty small restaurant. Since I have only ordered takeout I am unable to tell if the restaurant has more of a homey feel or just I’m eating out at a restaurant feel. It isn’t very crowded during the later lunch hour(past 1pm). Overall: 3.49 Stars I found this place while digging through Unilocal for a good burger and wasn’t disappointed. The assortment of foods on the menu at a decent price will have me going back often. 1 Vizio seems like a good place to seat down and eat if you are going to a Broadway show nearby. However if you want good takeout and feel like spending a little($ 8-$ 15) you should try this place out. I don’t feel comfortable giving 4 stars as of yet, but as I continue to eat here I feel I will raise the rating.

I’m surprised to see the negative reviews. I ate there last night & thoroughly enjoyed it! Charming place, fine service, gentle prices, and, most importantly, delicious food! I had the pasta with shrimp(and tomatoes, garlic & spinach) special — large portion & very fresh & tasty. My friend raved over her fresh tuna. We’ll definitely go back!

Our very attentive(and cutely-attractive!) server tried to convince us that the name, «Vizio,“refers to the«vice» of loving food, but the room is also quaintly and eclectically appointed enough that the ambiance at least borders on the romantic side. Okay, maybe not darkly romantic, but let’s be broad minded about vice in general. The menu sticks wisely to simple dishes, but there is plenty of variety. Our choices, dover sole and shrimp Parmigiana, were cooked perfectly and almost too generously-sized to finish(only almost!). Both of our salads were crisp, large, attractive, and tasty. And, priced at well less than $ 20 per entrée, Vizio seems a real find between Columbus Circle and Times Square. In addition, the wine list, while hardly vast, offers all its selections by the glass or by the bottle, a handy habit for those of us who like to «graze» in the oenophilic sense. The Nero d’Avola and the Montepulciano were just fine, particularly at an $ 8.00 price! This attractive spot deserves a lot of additional attention. I have been eating on Manhattan for fifty years, and we just lucked into it because it was referenced on the NY City Center website for before an Alvin Ailey performance. And, our server and the kitchen were happy to accommodate my request for no garlic in my tomato sauce. High marks for both service and flexibility do a lot to have me wind up content with simplicity and rate Vizio with four stars.

We had tickets to a show in New York at 25454th street, so we scheduled dinner at 1Vizio prior to the show. We arrived earlier than our reservation, but no matter, our table for 6 was ready. We ordered the onion rings and the calamari friti as appetizers as we decided on our dinner. While both were good, the onion rings clearly won the day as the best of the two. We also ordered 2 glasses of cabernet, and for $ 5.50 we each got 8 ounces of wine. Excellent deal and the wine was good. One of our party ordered the fruitilicious drink and that was also very good. For dinner, we had a wide mix of choices, and we chose the salmon special, mac and cheese, pulled pork, lamb osso bucco, grilled chicken pecan salad, and the champ(black angus) burger. The Tuesday night special is free small fries with a burger — perfect. They do have a venison, and bison burger as choices as well. As I have written before, I am on a low sodium diet and I always ask the waiter to do low sodium meals, and that was no problem. Finally, it was dessert, and we had 2 orders of brownies with vanilla ice cream, tiramisu, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, and ice cream. The brownies were very light, not the best to eat alone, but worked fine with the ice cream. The strudel was very rich with apples and cinnamon, and also worked well with the ice cream. All food passed the yummy test and the total came out to around $ 30 per person for drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert for 6 people.

I had lunch here yesterday with a colleague and it was absolutely fine. Her fish and chips seemed good, and my bison chipotle burger with cheddar was just what I wanted — something basic, simple, and acceptably executed. The fries were pretty good, and actually the onion rings we got for our appetizer were fantastic(yesterday was not a healthy day). The prices were really reasonable for what we got. My only complaints were that they only had honey mustard, not spicy brown, and when we paid, we asked for the server to put part of the check on a card and bring change back for a $ 20 — he instead took the remainder of the check out of the $ 20. Not a big deal, but if there was a reason he couldn’t fulfill our request, he should have told us, instead of doing something entirely different. If you want something simple, basic, and reasonably-priced close to work, I’d recommend this place. Wouldn’t travel to eat here though.
