Worst company ever, waited forever 4 months to have a job completed and still not completed, had to find another company.

AVOID THESE PEOPLE IF POSSIBLE!
On with my story …
My heat didn’t work. I didn’t know why. I live in New York City and haven’t haven’t lived in a detached home in about twenty years. My building’s management company suggested them to them to fix whatever was wrong with it. If someone suggests them, I would suggest look elsewhere.
I scheduled an appointment the day before, for someone to come by between 10 — 2pm. I phoned them at 3pm and 6pm asking them when they’re coming. I was told that …

When told why it was so delayed, I was told the reason for the delay, as I was, is it’s a three hour drive from the Bronx to Brooklyn and I need to be patient (note: Google maps says 14 — 22 minutes depending on traffic). I can’t make this up.
I’m typically understanding that folks get busy, I would have been fine if someone would have at least called me telling me that they’re really backed up.
The fellow showed up at about 7pm.
When the plumber did come, he never once knocked on the door or rang the bell (note — I’m guessing they have a key to the building since our management company suggested to use them). I happened to run into him by chance in the building’s boiler room when I was taking trash into the basement waiting for him.
Fellow as nice enough, he bled the pipes, then left. My heat still didn’t work, and to be honest, I was so disgusted at this point, I would just call someone else (I was fortunate to have my building cover the cost).
I should also note …
The guy showed up covered head to toe in black grease and dust. I know plumbing isn’t going to be hospital clean, but I’d expect someone to, at the very least, wash their hands before showing up. The last thing I would want is this guy getting his finger prints on walls that will never come out. This is another reason why I didn’t chase him to take a further look in the apartment when the heat still didn’t work.
To echo it again, avoid these people if possible. I rarely come onto Unilocal for the reason of slamming businesses, especially small business owners/​operators, but these guys really deserve it.

They care nothing about the work they do. They left me waiting all day, no call to tell me they would be late, fix one then broke another. They have to replace the whole sink, next day, they don’t even have the right replacement. Finn, is useless, knows nothing about plumbing .The worst, then place a sink that is not right, will have to have it done all over again. Wasted time.
